He needs to do everything again, from selecting the right colours to the right new post buttons and stuff, which takes a long time. His computer and network was hacked, so about 2 months fixing that.

If you, Guest, had everything hacked, your network, your files, your computer, your site, you would take way longer than however long TD takes.

Thank you for informing me about how I run my website. For example, I had no idea that I didn't make daily backups, and that I wouldn't have it back up and running in about two hours. I had no idea that I would sit and remain unresponsive for over four to five months and not manage to find the time to do a simple database import. Thank you for explaining to me how my website works.

SECONDLY, Techdawg didn't have his networked hacked, or his computer, he had his website database deleted. That's it, that's all. Second of all, the forums weren't "COMPLETELY DESTROYED RAWR", just the files for his skin. The entire vBullitien package (AKA, the entire forum) is just something you can install, uninstall and reinstall over and over again. It didn't get "destroyed".

im really liking this thread. Everyone has their own opinions and we need to respect that, as they should ours. Everyone feels differently about the situation, we're all learning from each other from our own opinions. That's how you learn.

So anyway, I still think we need to be patient. Let techdawg tell us what he thinks (his opinion) and we can maybe go from there?

Dude TD said to us that he had backups in his first post about the hack, you don't store the backups the same place as the real thing that makes no sense.

No, he just deleted everything stored on an external server hosted by a server company. TechDawg's computer wasn't affected at all. Second, you don't print backups...
