Votale's = Votale is. "And" is him trying to make a joke of me saying "and" when I meant "an."

Hey guys, I decided to make a list of the stuff that was said in this thread, and sort it into true statements and false statements. Enjoy
Note: There was a lot of stuff in the OP that was rude, mean, uncalled for, and/or off topic. I didn't bother including those, and just stuck to stuff that was just plain wrong.

But when you try to take someone's style like that, say kramwood's speedy and trick-heavy style, and criticize it to the point where it resembles this standardized and ideal style, what you're doing is you're devaluing that style, what it is; you're stealing what makes it unique and special. Some hate kram's style, but others, like myself, actually enjoy watching bosh mindlessly being bashed about and thrown soullessly around--it's actually enjoying to us.pure5152 wrote:The problem isn't tolerance, it's acceptance. We have to have an open and objective viewpoint when looking at tracks; we can't look at them in a limited and subjective manner. Everyone is different, and likewise, every line rider track is different as well. It's the subtleties, the things we often throw in vague categories: beautiful, stop-n-go, flowy, stylish, soulless, entertaining, boring, ugly. Instead of hating on tracks because they're not made in the kind of style we enjoy; instead of trying to force them to switch styles because it's getting repetitive; instead of forcing people to conform towards some standard; instead of trying to force people to do what they don't like doing; we should express acceptance, and encourage them to do what they love to do: making line rider tracks however they want. no standards. no judgement. if we do that, not only will more members be willing to express themselves without fear of judgement, but we'll have a more accepting, tolerating community that looks at tracks in their best light instead of subjecting them to unruly stereotypes.pure5152 wrote:although trick discovery will slowly slow down to a crawl, there is an infinite amount of combinations tricks can be put together. This is what matters: putting tricks together in a way that is interesting and unique. that's what we call style. It's not about the tricks, it's about how you put those tricks together. And although knowing more tricks gives you a lot more leg room, you can still make a great track with a limited trick base, just like how you can write a brilliant essay with a limited vocabulary.pure5152 wrote:line rider will never die. People will always be finding new and innovative ways to position their lines to make brilliant tracks. You don't have to be an aspi or a kramwood or any crazy rider who makes tracks that focus on high speed and a variety of radical tricks. Master what you have, what you know, and you will go places.GhostY wrote:scenery takes time and patience.

Re: Line Rider
it's irrelevant, rude, and off topic, so it doesn't deserve to be sorted.Sheldon wrote:Heres one: Sheldon is cool. Sort that out
EDIT: and this:
is debatable, seeing as there have been a zillion threads on this. Most people would agree, but I'm not going to sort it because it's not agreed on by almost everyone.Sheldon wrote:How about: Line rider is losing good members left and right.
Re: Line Rider
To be fair, you can't say those are all false and true statements. Some are just opinions that the majority(or minority) disagree with.
Re: Line Rider
Purtle has a point. You can't really sepoarate them into true and false because thet're oppinions. The false comments you wrote down, obviously podpack (and only podpack... I mean Helios Pavonine) thought they were true. These aren't as simple statements as "the sky is blue", even though it seems like it is to the general population of the linerider forum.Purtle wrote:To be fair, you can't say those are all false and true statements. Re: Line Rider
Reading all of this and seeing how much of a dork hp is ( ) I think more threads like this should be made more often. Look at how many people have responded, giving a lengthy, honest opinion about how they feel about line rider. It helps the community to grow. Naw I meen bros?

Re: Line Rider
^ Exactly. I don't create these threads for fun or to bother/annoy people, I just feel like I have the right to say what I think about this community and Line Rider. I do read most of the posts and often agree with them, but if I don't, I can't seem to use any arguments against them. That's probably because all my arguments are stated in the OP.
In the future, if I think something needs to be changed or added, I'll make shorter threads and actually discuss. Or I don't make any threads anymore and play Line Rider more, so I become a little more respected.
But really, I'm not mean or rude, but sometimes I need to vent and that's mostly in a negative way. So sorry.

Re: Line Rider
Exactly how is the community growing from this? This does nothing but start arguments. It doesn't attract new members but repels them and, at rare occasion, makes active members leave.
Threads like this are pointless. Go play Line Rider
