A New Kind of Maze Contest (idea)

Ok, I'm posting because I'm not a very skilled trackmaker, but I had a pretty cool idea. (I think anyway)

The idea of a maze is that you don't know where you're going, right? So what if you made a normal maze contest, but the maze had multiple ROOMS! You could make a map like this:

And then have the blue be the "doorways" into other rooms.

Okay, it would go like this:

• Contest runner makes the room map (picture)
  
• Contest runner makes all 9 rooms, as DIFFERENT .SOLS
  - The same shape as the rooms on the map
  - With the appropriate doors in the right places (they could just be a box, or you could be creative)
  - Not making any room harder/easier than an alternative, but making them all different
  
• Contest runner posts a thread, and publishes the first room's .sol

• Someone who wants to enter does the first room (as fast as they can) and chooses a door
  
• They then PM THEIR .SOL to the person running the contest
  
• The contest runner PMs them the .sol of the room for the door they chose
  
• Repeat this process until they get to the finish
  
• Add up the times for all the rooms, and that's their time. The fastest time wins!

Additional Rules:
- if you enter, you only get one shot, so no redo of any room - once you PM it, it's final.
- nobody in the contest may publish a video or say anything about the rooms or what direction they went until the contest is over (this is critical for this contest so people don't choose routes based on others' videos)

Good idea? I would do it myself, but I'm not very skilled at trackmaking. I might do it anyway if nobody else wants to (It would definitely be a time investment)

I think it's an awesome idea, but the guy making the maze has to be someone who knows what he is doing. As in, that the rooms are equally hard, but different. That seems hard to achieve and maybe it's even better to just make them different, because in a real maze it would depend on luck anyway.

But that discussion aside, I'm afraid this is a big project like LR Olympics that might just die again, but if anyone wants to host it, I'll defenitely be a competator.

The contest maker must have lots of time on their hands, knows what they are doing, is very skilled, and knoweledge-able... hmmm wh... ino me jk. but i would join this reminds me of Dev's "choose your path" track

The only thing is no one who wanted to win would go through the middle box because that would add an extra timing to their time.

Not true, as long as you go either a box down or to the right it will always involve you completing three boxes + the start (and the end?)
