Having a few issues with dynamics atm, so I'm putting them on the backburner for now and looking at something else that's totally new - multiplayer.
I've just managed to get connections working between my machines, so the next step is to integrate the client networking code into the game so that I can connect to servers and actually work on tracks.
I think what I'll do is get multiplayer working, remove the dynamic stuff and bring it up to the level that we have now and do an initial release.

...so how would this server work?
Is it just as simple as creating an account and sharing .sol files with people, or is it way more complicated?

Lol, it's more like a minecraft server. You connect to one and edit the track in real time with other people.

I'm not doing line colour showing. It's been abused in videos and they're twice as long as they should be because people seem to think that showing colour replays at 1x is a smart idea. This isn't 2008 where you have to "prove" that your track is all blue, and if its a mix of colours who cares?
The zoom will be automatic for now and ill come back to it eventually and add some advanced options.

Personally I enjoy the color play ack because it shows a few insights on some of the inner workings of said track. Take Scruff, for example. If it weren't for the color playback, I would have no idea how he did some of the green line stuff, and would still be guessing now.

You could always just ask for the .lrt file. Remember, track sharing actually works with Unleashed as its all fixed point math and each track is just a normal file that you can save wherever you want.
