Oh well, at least we have a chat that's not completely terrible now. (The livestream). Although there are no sbpms.

since nobody asked what happened I'll guess I'll just say that basically rev bailed. I don't really know how to even do something like take the password off the site, much less add links at the top of the pages, install awards, get multiple PIPs, fix the skin, etc, and MSX says this is all he can do. So unless rev is suddenly like "LOLJK GUYS I'M FINISHING IT NOW" then we're not moving.

Bailed? I told AC that I might not keep paying for my hosting as it is getting hard on me. I never said that was the plan. The reason for it being hard is that none of my client have paid me yet and I need to get the money to change the VPS provider in about less then a week (6 days I believe). I have actually been trying to update one of my IPB skins that sells for either $10 or $15 a sale which would help me get the money in no time.

Also if you would like, I could try and learn the phpBB styling system, which would take longer as it's nothing like IPB or XenForo.

To take the password off of the site you basically just delete two files, which isn't that hard if you google .htaccess password protect directory or something along those lines.

ok cool. well if you want to try, then that's great, or if someone else wants to try, that's great. But I've decided I'm not going to waste any more of my time until we have awards, multiple pips, and the skin is finished. I'd just rather spend my time actually doing things on this site.

Get a donate button, and get as much money from members as physically possible. Then legitimately buy a website

No point when it's this close to being finished. The multiple pips and awards I can do if I can get FTP access again. The skin, however, I can't do.

He'd need to know phpBB template code. It's not that hard to learn though. If I got it in a week he'll prolly get it in a couple hours

Well, here's the thing. What's the allure of PhpBB when for example MyBB is also free and significantly more powerful? I'm sure you could even get a decent skin for it too!

It wasn't the "allure". It was making a skin that looks exactly like old WRtL. Which we got around 90% done and then the project just crashed. If anyone has a backup of it I MIGHT be able to work on it and get it done. I've learned quite a bit more HTML and CSS since we did this. But of course, it's gonna take a long time for me to release cuz I'm mainly focused in school right now.

If it was the skin that was the deal, then what was all the server-problems about?

RevO couldn't afford $50 a month anymore so he was going to switch servers but he never got around to it because his clients hadn't paid him yet and then the coders quit and then he just decided to not even go through with switching the servers. That's what I think happened. More or less.

Well, that's a shame, but we musn't blame RevO. He was essentially going to donate to WRtL out of the kindness of his heart. No obligation. If the funds aren't there, they aren't there, right?

Still - I'd like to see this move forward somehow!

Well currently I'm only in one other project and that'll be complete within the next 2 weeks or so. If anyone who knows HTML and CSS would like to help me, we could get this skin back on track. Of course we'd have to start from scratch unless someone managed to get a backup of it..
