Hello everyone, (i just wanted to say that) this happens to be the same day i joined the site, so i decided why not come out with my first track that very same day, so i put together a really quick 00:12 track that i'll play in color and out of color to kind of show a little bit about what i can do, i would LOVE some quick tips, and ideas since i'm open to anything, and id like to know if i should put more variety in tracks than just the same things... any help would be appreciated. I wouldn't mind if you answered the poll too since it gives me an easy way to tell if people liked it no matter how short. You wont my feelings so be okay with being brutal. Smile enjoy!

I'm using my older computer for this first one, so it may have a bit of a laggy display, sorry if it does.

New question: how long should my next track be? right now it is running at about 45 seconds.. should it be about a minute? closer to two? or like five+?

I liked it. I know some around here don't like tumbly quirk tracks, but I do. Pretty good first track.

The trick to getting to the next level of trackmaking is learning what tricks string together well. It's nearly impossible to start off amazing in LR (unless you're ZNF or Anomaly :P), so watch a bunch of tutorials and awesome tracks for inspiration. Hope to see more soon Smile

T'was good for a first track! I'd advise you to watch some tutorials and just keep on practicing (and you've already got a head start by knowing gravity wells). These two should be enough to get you started:

Nose Manual Tutorial
Nose Fling Tutorial

All blue! Thumbs Up

My favorite tutorial (since everyone was giving out tips :P): Quirk tutorial 2 - joonas
It's what got me hooked on "quirks" Wink

Good track to be on a early stage. An advise would be to make them a bit longer. And try out some tail manuals, they're fun ;P

It's fairly good for a first.

It needs speed, manuals and some connection between gravity wells.

I actually thought that tumbling at the beginning was pretty cool Smile. You should try adding some manuals and a little bit of length to your tracks, but in no time I can see you getting pretty good Wink.

Great job, like the Others said; try to make it longer and stuff, I really liked it.

ABOVE ALL ELSE: do whatever you want to do. This game isn't about rules; It's about making whatever your mind decides to make. Keep riding, Smile

I personally like manuals a lot better than quirk, but that's my own personal oppinion, and you shouldn't be swayed by it. The track was pretty good, but some other things that weren't mentioned was that it was sort of single directional. Try to make him go up and to the left and right as well as down. The flings you're working on will help with that. But even though we're giving you hints to make sure you don't listen to them too much.... Ok, that didn't make much sense.... I guess what I'm trying to say is keep your own style. If someone says to learn hand flings, sure, go ahead, but if you don't want to, then you don't have to. It's your track. Smile
Keep riding!
