Straight from Yahoo Answers
OK so I turned my XP on one day and the light under the power button never stopped flashing, which means it's busy. SO I opened Task Manager and saw that nearly 100% of my CPU was being used by svchost.exe. I closed it and no I have no sound at all. Can someone please give me step by step instructions as to how to fix this? If not then just send an easy to follow link. Thanks!

Alright now I realize that was a stupid mistake and all but what now? I don't have any sound coming from my speakers and I got no idea as to how to get it back with out installing other programs. Please help...
