I have never made a Line Rider track on LSD. Which is pretty normal considering I've never had LSD.
Still a confession, though. I think everyone should make an LR track on LSD at least once.

I deleted my first project in sheer intimidation, after watching the stream.
I don't think it is approperiate for me to inflict my opinion on the community, as I origin from the iOs community.
I am clueless as to what your tricks are called, quirking terrifies me.
I was super dedicated to iOs LR, I considered myself the king, and I would get upset if people failed to meet my excpectations when doing collabs.
I fail to create new start concepts, and so I more than occasionally copy it.

This is some deep shit.
I had the last problem when I first returned, and realized I wasn't even good at the imitation part. So, I sought out to replicate the technique involved in making a certain concept work. Once I felt I had adequately mastered a particular aspect of technique (flings, stacking, flanuals, powerful flatsled [no, I havne't releasd a track with that yet], XY...), I then began a quest to invent a new style.
I have some more confessions:
I don't like to learn to manual because of how good I got at everything else. Learning to manual makes me feel crummy because I can do everything else so well (except scene).
I'm still not quite willing to sacrifice a trick for the sake of good flow in a track. So instead, I've learned to structure tracks so taht I can keep flow and also do epic tricks like 3 frame xy rolls and such.
I'm running out of steam for my collabs. At first, it was a matter of keeping my partner motivated, but now it's turned into the opposite. I'm leaning on Orthuss for support, Rofl and I haven't done anything in a while so I'm hoping that maybe his next part will excite me, and despite the insane level of quirk me and KW did in our 30 seconds or so of collab, we've both come so far since that in recent months that I'd only consider doing it if we picked it back up with the intenion of syncing it in such a way that it shows how far we've come. I don't even want to start a new one with him, he's scary good and the start of our collab is still some of the best I've ever done.
Inukaza and I are basically quitting on our collab becuase he got busy and I improved so much. So I'm making a manuals part at the end to practice and we're releasing it as a short.
Shotoku and I are excited, though. I think I really threw us off in the last part I did.
HG and I are both unmotivated because we're both similar in nature, i.e. finishing trax iz hards
Chuggers...lol we have 2 frames. TWO.
I really don't want to just let the legacy I tried to create go. I want to remotivate myself somehow.
Also gaoyubao scared me out of making cotm entries becuase I can guess what he's capable of and I'm simply nowhere near as skilled as he is.
I got cocky again and thought I was getting to be a top player. So everybody, quick! Remind me how much I'm a noob!

Dap! your quirk is awesome but your manuals are gangly and weird!! Make a manual track and work on those and you'll be up with the best!
Anydal! I didn't start as a quirker! Add me on skype and I can help you! "otdeskype" is my handle! Don't get caught up in quirk stuff, I made the exceptional list twice and got LCC without a single lick of that!!
Exclamation points!!!!
Confession time!
I still have no idea how to consistently make kramuals!!!

I watched Broken Harmony at least a dozen times when I first joined. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n8XF6GQX0wWolf_Spirit wrote:I literally have no idea how people get better at quirk. I have no idea what all these weird flings are, I've watched so many tracks and tried, but I still have no clue.
ANYWAYS, when it came to collabs, I would often procrastinate and as a result, I started but didn't finish collabs with rofl and kevan. I'd also been on the receiving end of that same kind of thing with at least six different members. I know how it feels, so I'm sorry if I offended either of you guys with that. :/
Re: Line Rider Confession Thread
@efraz lol i'm not offended, i've forgotten so many collabs over the years
i guess it's kinda my confession too

In my head, the XY King title is a real thing. But only to me, like I feel like I have to keep proving it to myself to keep that position, especially with how good everybody is getting at XY. Healthy competition.

My motivation to work on projects, and my productivity, is inversely proportional to how many people have said things to indicate they don't like me recently, much as I wish to not give a fuck.
Re: Line Rider Confession Thread
All of my tracks, I have been trying to get compliments out of. When I first started, I was trying to do things I knew I couldn't do well just because that was the cool kind of track at the time. So I made crap half-hearted attempts at terrible quirk tracks just to get people to like me on the site. Never really worked.
But holy crap. Now that I'm back, I just don't care. Rutabaga was the first track I made because I wanted to. I didn't try to please anyone. I just did what I wanted to do. If I thought it was kinda cool, I kept it. I didn't try to make the flings particularly strong or anything like that. I just listened to calm music and just played Line Rider. It was great. All my tracks are like that now, and I've never had more fun with all of this. Not trying to be the best player around and just having fun and doing what I want to do is new to me, and it's lovely.
Or maybe that's just my excuse for not being the best. It's not. That's a joke.

Half way through makin a track, I always get into a mindset that it's not good enough, and that I can make a better track by starting over, hence I haven't completed anything in the past like 4 years

I've recently been coming up with so many original ideas for tracks that I never even considered before, and wish I had thought of them years ago when I had more time and more motivation.

I put about 12 lines of filler in the experimental collab so I could draw the 2000th line.

Re: Line Rider Confession Thread
Sometimes it just hurts knowing how many possibilities I had to make a track just right and I fuck it up every time. No. Not sometimes. All the time. Looking at my track and acknowledging that it's good or great or whatever but hating myself for not making it better, or not being able to make it better. Or it can be while I'm making the track. It doesn't have to be in retrospect. Constantly questioning what I do creatively. Assessing. Judging. It's so tiring, and I can't stop it from happening. I've been trying for years.
I say that I'm not making tracks for all of you, and that's 100% true. I'm making tracks for my own satisfaction. But I wouldn't call it fun. Just engaging, interesting, and infinitely frustrating and hateful and perfectionist.
I love this game. I hate... this. I hope I described it adequately.
