I am going to intentionally destroy the value of quirk technique (live feedback with bosh rendered in every frame --> "too easy", also export to .sol).

i regret and am embarrassed of making creation or getting any where technical because of what it has since spawned in the quirk scene

power and technicality is cute, but basic track structure and flow is actually important

I worry I won't ever be able to execute any of the ideas I have in my head well enough to do them any degree of justice. I have one idea in particular right now that I'm super excited about seeing in full, but not making.

I think it's really a "you had to be there situation" because honestly I also feel pretty meh about everything from him. I can understand people's reasoning but I can't really connect with the feelings the oldies have about him

dude anomaly is good af, it really is a you'd have to be there. It wasn't the craziest stuff from the time period, just very artistic, the guy invented the gravity well...

Franz Liszt: Yep totally see it. I remember learning about 2/3'rds of one of his songs and eventually gave up because it was so technical. this song

I know that piece well, but Hamelin plays it far better. Smile

Also, he has MUCH ahrder stuff than that, that one is just a teaser: Try his transcendental etudes or his Ballade or Hexameron...etc.

This is accurate I think. Since he was so far ahead of his time he continued to inspire new generations of riders, those being some of you. But I think that time is over. I mean, why should I look up to the outdated when I can look to the current gods of flow and gravity defiance. E.G Sheldon, dap, gao, chuggers, Opal and OTDE (the list goes on. To whoever more I forgot: You probably know who you are). I mean, in theory, everything we are today is built upon the fundations anomaly and others built for us. As a new user, -I think I talked to OTDE or Lukking about this- it is much easier for me to idolize currently active players, as they have a much larger influence on me, both technically and the fact that I can talk to them.

Anomalys tracks never meant anything to me. I appriciate what he has done, but mostly through what others have created on the fundations he built.
