Limitations - The LCC
Here it is! The first XY ever made by the LCC. I'm very proud of the outcome, and the work put in by everyone that participated.

The first word I thought of after watching was "dope."
I'm sorta bummed I didn't get a chance to partake in this, but everyone who did participate did an excellent job! Very impressive, I love you guys

Re: Limitations - The LCC
I have to complain about the music. That was really unpleasant to listen to.
Everyone's part seemed to blend together really well, although they were really short in the beginning. Looked like an average xy track for the most part. Boo only had one moment I actually liked and that was the short high speed at 3:31 but sadly was short-lived. His part after that did NOT fit in any way in the track imo. It goes from fast, to slow, to berserk. It just felt really out of place.
Everything else up to this point (Where Splash's part starts) is completely shadowed by Splash, HP, and f**king Sheldon (and Rabid.. seems legit). Splash's part was fantastic and I think set the pace for the next couple parts to come. Epicly skilled stuff.
Then Sheldon's part. I have no words. You broke it. HP's part fit in very well, which I was surprised to see. So excellent work there. Then Sheldon's final part. I was actually disappointed when it ended so soon. I wanted it to go on for at least 10 more seconds but you can't win them all hah. If I had to complain it's that this part was too short, but I can only see that as a positive thing.
Good job LCC.

LCC tracks are always really cool to me because they get progressively better due to the general skill increase over that time period. =] I enjoyed the track. WTF @ the end. And yeah the vocals in that song were pretty terrible. lol
overall: wow great cool

Ahahaha. The ending is so ridiculous, I can't help but just laugh in disbelief when I see it. Bummed I couldn't hop onto this, but this is very well done!

BOOOO<3
1:23-1:47 was easily my favorite part.
To be honest, when I saw Sheldon and Helios' (helios's? I don't know how to grammar right now) names I was like "lol prepare for the crazy part" and to be honest I thought it was pretty cool in like a funny way. It was like "Alright this is normal XY a bit above average" until around 1:50 then it was just like "LOL things just got silly-insane." I kind liked it because it just jumped from good to insane. Good job all. Props to Sheldon and Helios for making that insane stuff.

I felt like I was just watching an above average XY track until that end hit...woah.

I think I might end up being the only person who likes the first half better than the second, but it just felt more consistent than the "Strong well in one direction, then g-roll" of the end. Both halves were incredibly good in their own way, the style just grew less appealing to me as the track moved on.

Re: Limitations - The LCC
Each part was excellent in a vacuum, but I felt there was far too much contrast from the beginning to the end (even Splash's part kind of threw it off). I also am not really a fan of high speed xy like Shelly and HP did, so I'm feeling kind of like Opal.
But seriously, what the fuck was that even the Sheldon did I don't think I'll ever forget that.

You guys made a big impact. I loved every bit of it and the cherry on top was that high speed at the end. Very well done LCC.

yeah there should have been flings with those wells instead of just individual or two.Opal Rider wrote:"Strong well in one direction, then g-roll"
Other than that, it was still awesome!

Re: Limitations - The LCC
What the fuck at the end.
Seriously.
Also, I was a fan of the music.

I don't think you know how hard it is to do such a thing.gaoyubao wrote:yeah there should have been flings with those wells instead of just individual or two.Opal Rider wrote:"Strong well in one direction, then g-roll"
Anyway, I'm interested to see how XY is going to evolve from this, because as far as I know, it's the strongest we can do. Hat's off to everyone who participated; y'all did a wonderful job.

Loved the music!
Really enoyed the track, and seriously WTF at the end, really liked how that bit fit in with the music
I'm really looking forward to more XY tracks with that sort of insane stuff in it!

I understand how perfectly hard it is, I just feel like it wasn't very fitting, nor was it engaging for the viewer.Helios Pavonine wrote:I don't think you know how hard it is to do such a thing.gaoyubao wrote:yeah there should have been flings with those wells instead of just individual or two.Opal Rider wrote:"Strong well in one direction, then g-roll"

What are you talking about? That stuff is amazing to watch and is a beauty if not its own style.Opal Rider wrote:nor was it engaging for the viewer.Helios Pavonine wrote:I don't think you know how hard it is to do such a thing.gaoyubao wrote:yeah there should have been flings with those wells instead of just individual or two.Opal Rider wrote:"Strong well in one direction, then g-roll"

And my wild, unorthodox opinion strikes again. Whatever, I'm just not going to state what I think on tracks anymore if my opinion is wrong.

I think it goes without saying that you shouldn't sacrifice flow, cohesiveness, and overall entertainment for doing something that is just insane skillwise.

To each his own, guys. This style is definitely not for everyone, and it's essential you realise that. Just because you may enjoy it doesn't mean everyone does, or is required to do so.theacp127 wrote:What are you talking about? Also, we haven't had a good quote pyramid here in a long time.
Re: Limitations - The LCC
I completely agree with this(!), but I had sheldon and company do that because it actually fit here, and it was organized in such a way.Shotoku wrote:*insert pyramid quote*
