Reallly cool. Unbelievable how quickly you pooped this out! It's so weird to see such an amazing player as you struggle with manuals so much though xD

In every manual you had there, tail and nose, only one thing had to be added: More pressure. See adding pressure to a manual as stacking a gwell. It needs to be strong as possible. If that happens the curve will automatically become good-looking (not to confuse with circular).

That way you put your wells in your integration is just awesome Very Happy
Yeah, the long non-switching manuals weren't spectacular, balance- and pressure-wise, but I shouldn't criticise; you know, people who live in glass houses...

I thoroughly enjoyed this, though. Keep having fun and doing stuff like this!

also that long fast roll was really cool

If you want to look conventional, you should do this Wink

Anyways, I enjoyed watching the track.

This was a really cool track and I don't care about the non-perfect manual pressure (don't listen to Raf xP). The point is that you had fun. Great job.

for me it kind of had the same feel as highspeed a flatsled track, but with manuals and no recycling. Still, same feel I think because of the mostly uniform speed and large amount of curves with very varied direction.

The bouncyness of the nosies and wobblyness of the tail manuals got a little distracting, but it was an enjoyable track nontheless. :3

This was fun to watch even though from the eye of a manualer the manuals were pretty wobbly.

I actually think I'd disagree with Raf, I felt like you struggled to balance a lot of the manuals because you tried to curve too sharply when he was going really fast, which would mean the problem is too MUCH pressure. The chief goal should be to balance the manual, not change the direction of bosh.

anyway. just watching the track and appreciating it aesthetically, it was great and fun if a bit repetitive. And probably a great exercise for you!

First, ahead of the CURRVVEEE. I get it. Curves.

Anyways. @Raf and Rabid, I'm pretty sure he didn't care that his manuals we wobbly or not pressured as well as they could have been with this track xD Just look at the youtube description; "This is my imperfect high-speed manual track. I didn't take this project as seriously as my others and had a lot of fun with making it." Pretty sure he was just looking to have fun with this one. I agree with Conun though, if you want to make a more conventional manual track, Raf's advice is good. I'm sure he is and was aware that the manuals are wobbly and not very pressured.

Helios Pavonine wrote:This was a really cool track and I don't care about the non-perfect manual pressure (don't listen to Raf xP). The point is that you had fun. Great job.

Let Raf give advice if he wants, let .boo listen to it if he wants. kthanks. I enjoyed the wobbly manuals as well because they felt silly, but if he wants to listen to the helpful criticism he can. Raf wasn't bashing the track, just trying to help him out. Just throwing all this out there.

Anyways, my opinion Smile I really loved the silly and fun feel of this track with the random awesome tricks and moves thrown in. My favorite part was 2:49-2:52. That was so sick! I love the way you went about making this track. I would never have the patience to make a highspeed manual track, so great job, very enjoyable. Very Happy

Are we still having this discussion about how everything should be as stacked / pressurized to the brim? I thought we were beyond that point.

Re: Ahead of The Curve - boo

To all the people pointing out the wobbly manuals. I thought that was sort of the point? I agree with Votale in that I'm pretty sure he knew they were unbalanced.

So I watched this track a couple times now and it's fantastic but I have a few gripes.

The overall track is too repetitive. It's one speed throughout and gets predictable at points although it had some really cool moments that were quite notable. If it had a slow section I think it would have brought it up a few points. In fact that's what I think this track needed. If it had ended with a slow manual section I think it would have been spectacular. Another thing that made me go "eh" were the rolls. I don't dislike them at all, I just think there's too many and adds to the predictability of the track. Another thing I hated was the way it ended. The way you edited the stall to sync with the music really bothered me. I didn't like the way it looked or sounded but I guess that's just me.

Also what up with the watermark.

Aside from the couple gripes I had with it it's definitely a unique one. I like that someone is designing manuals in such a way that they aren't perfect zero-point maximum pressurized curves. There's a lot you could do with "quirky" type manuals and I think you demonstrated some of them here. I'd like to see more people experiment with funky ways to balance Bosh :P so good job. I wouldn't vote this for a feature though it'd be close. If it had a slower part I think it would've been better and I would have enjoyed it more.

For some reason that song flowed so well with the track. I loved it. Those freaking rolls were borderline orgasmic.

Too .boo is regards to criticism- I'm 100% sure everyone here can agree it was a very enjoyable track to watch. Fantastic job.

In (my) (highspeed) manuals, if you have too much pressure, Bosh dies. Take a .sol of a recent highspeed manual of mine and you'll see that Bosh will fall off the sled as soon as you make the curve sharper.

BUT HEY, I just told boo how to make an even, pressured manual if he wants to make one (and he did in this track), because he had problems with that during this track (which he told me personally). Never said that all manuals should allways be like that. Heck, I never even said that I disliked the wobblyness! I knew/thought boo wanted to make all his manuals more perfect. Way to make a big deal out of it.

Some of the head riding made me cringe a bit, but other than that I didn't have much of a problem. Especially since all of those manual rolls were just so awesome. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Re: Ahead of The Curve - boo

Very.... fluid track. That's the best way I could describe it. I like how it was one continuous stream of movement.

I think the reason that people have started arguing over Raf's criticism (Which btw, there's no reason to argue about someone's advice, but that's something this community has always struggled with) is because he made it sound like every manual needs to have max pressure, which is not true at all. As long as it has consistent pressure, whether weak or heavily pressured, then it's a solid manual. (Consistent partial pressure is even more skillful than max, imo)

But putting THAT aside, I really enjoyed this track. You have some of the best high speed granuals ever and I admire your decision to include some head riding. Wink
also lol, HP = salty

This track really had an odd vibe. As if the frame you're watching could not be possible, and would not be exactly as it is, if it had not been born out of the previous frames which it came. I do have to say that the only thing consistent about this track was it's inconsistency, and that's not a bad thing. I really enjoyed this. Smile
