New build has been pushed, download link in OP.

Added:

Toggle for XY45 and line snapping in settings menu

Changed/fixed:

Fixed line tool incorrectly auto saving for line count.
Fixed auto save not being remembered when track is loaded. Setting is stored as per user.
Adjusted line snapping, should be giving less issues now.
Improved preview mode shortcut (shift + enter) to be more responsive.

Changed "Corrected start" to "Alternative start"
Changed "Custom" to "Specific" in zoom options.

It's recommended you delete LRProfile.sol in your localhost to avoid issues with new builds.

I realized what is weird about snapping.

When starting a line, it snaps, but when drawing the end of the line, it never snaps. compared it to 6.7 and it snaps at the end. No wonder I've been having so much trouble.

Few things I'd like to say:

First, looking into the snapping bug. I am in the middle of comparing 6.7 source and my current source to find inconsistencies.

Second, I have added Flash Player 16 standalone downloads for mac and windows in the OP. I highly recommend using them. My builds take advantage of GPU acceleration, but there are two requirements you must have: Flash Player 11 or newer, and a video card that can handle what flash demands. If either of these are not present, flash will default to the old ugly drawing method, otherwise you'll receive a nice performance boost.

Third, in terms of LR online, I have offered to help conun with development, but nothing has take off so far. If I am ever caught up to speed, I guess I'll be contributing in the same way I have with the flash builds. If however, conun is in capable to work on online and the project is dropped all together, I'll be focusing my efforts on an As3 build for line rider, and I've dubbed it the "Beta 4" engine. When (and if) I have a functioning build (IE performs at least 6.7 stuff) I'll make the build open source so anyone can contribute or make their own builds. Ultimately I'll be the authority on what is put in mine, but I'm not discouraging anyone from making their own.

There will be dramatic changes in this build, such as a new UI and taking advantage of scripts AS2 simply does not provide, such as ACTUALLY BEING ABLE TO USE RIGHT CLICK DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I DESPERATELY WANTED THAT ABILITY LIKE HOLY FUCK. believe me, this opens so many doors.

not sure why but while looking at your new UI I had a thought

the pencils change color while in different line types. what if you had an indication of what type we were in for straight line tool and eraser? This hasn't been an issue in the past but now it is because of the shift+enter play mode preview and how we keep accidentally scening in blue lines and stuff.

Also I recently opened a scenery track in 6.2 for some reason and holy crap did it look about 10x uglier. I dunno how it changed that much or whether it was you or mhenr who did that but I am glad it is so much better.

Do you have FP15 standalone somewhere? I'll add FP15 and FP16 downloads to the master thread.

so kevans i will love you forever and have your children if you do this one thing

can you make it so with the pencil tool you can just click and WITHOUT dragging it creates a perfect little dot? this would help so much with scening you have no idea.

and maybe one more little thing, try to get just a command list in the version of linerider. just give it a look like "SHFT+Z..............ZOOM" or something like that

Changed/fixed

- Fixed release snapping bug.
- Preview mode will force the user into scenery lines, color eraser will require the user to have the eraser tool selected prior. User can switch to other swatches if desired. Exiting preview mode will switch the user back to the previously used swatch.

Added

- Added line "dotting", using the pencil tool and scenery lines, the user can click to create a dot. These aren't perfect dots, but they are as small as I could get them without flash deciding that they were too small to draw.

Will be compiling a list of all shortcut keys in this build.

hand tool makes dots now lol. glitch.

EDIT: only if I select the hand tool or hit T, space bar doesn't make dots, unless i had the pencil tool selected when I used space bar

I'm really close to being doing with Oxygen, and am making huge dot filled blue stacks. I'm using a version which is a few weeks old, and Flash Player keeps crashing. Flash Player 14.

Oh, had an idea making a Kramual today. See, I realized only after several minutes of wondering what the butt was causing him to pop out and die, that there were lines above him affecting him. I had hit test on, but those lines had already been used so there was no way to tell.
I was wondering if it were possible to have a "live hit test refresh" button :3

I have been keeping an unofficial record of builds since august and I started numbering them after we switched to 3.4.x. this latest one is 3.4.x.7 (though kevans hates me for doing this)

theres just one problem, over half the dots i put down don't show up. like if i do a dense cluster it'll like not show almost half of them

That's one of the issues with dots. If flash deems the line too small, it won't draw it.

Added:

-Pressing "L" with hit test enabled will turn on/off live hit test mode. During this mode, only the lines bosh is currently touching will light up, others will turn off. This causes lag depending on size of track
-Upon startup, status text will show current version. Alternatively, you can view the current version in the settings menu now.

Fixed:

-Fixed preview mode not correctly adjusting after loading a track.

soo i know we've talked about this before, but is it possible to make a fill tool? and i was thinking that it would be really cool if you could make it like the pen tool in photoshop/indesign/illustrator. so when you toggle the fill and draw curves it automatically filles a line to the beginning point.

it would be amazing if you could do this, it would save so much time and motivate people more to do scenery. because frankly who wants to fill in black for 4 hours xD

Notes!

1 - in the past I have opposed a fill tool but now I find myself kind of indifferent (thinking maybe I was just a stuck up traditionalist. also it would maybe get people to scene more). If it does get added I am dropping everything and working on limelight which would suddenly become much less impossible.

2 - I realized how annoying it is to not be able to play in an arbitrary zoom level (or jump to an arbitrary zoom level) when I figured out that 145 was the perfect zoom level but I couldn't get to it using the zoom tool. Worse it was really hard to get consistent zoom levels, and the zooms for the recordings of each split HAVE to be EXACTLY the same or the masking won't work. I ended up figuring out a way that I think got them pretty close. I will see if it works but I'm not sure.

3 - when the zoom level is ~50 or so, the V and B keys will often take a couple frames before the number changes. So another pitch here for my logarithmic shift+zoom, or an arbitrary zoom level. and also for decimals? so we can see the difference between the two zoom levels that are both labeled as 51.

Added:

-Dual fakie toggle. Saved as per track. While on, the user will be allowed to take advantage of tail fakies. To accommodate the reduced risk of crash, a new restriction has been added. Bosh can not be in both fakies at the same time. While in nose fakie, tail crash check will turn on and behave as expected. While in tail fakie, the same restriction shall be applied to the nose. This prevents the sled from flipping upside down, yet yields the same restrictions we're used to. Physics have not been altered.

Changed:

-Reverted back to FP11.2 compiler. Fp16 compiler (afaik) seems to cause more crashes. This doesn't mean you can't use any flash player that's newer.
