What does a linecount depend on? RAM, GPU or CPU?

A little bit of all 3.

GPU being the least, more lines, more GPU is needed to show them.
Ram is needed so flash can remember each line that you drew.
and CPU to process both RAM and GPU.

I have a pretty good computer yet it can't even run a 12k line track (scenery lines plus track lines) at 40fps.
