Re: Championship Poll!
Meh, Honestly, I stopped paying real attention to this once I was voted out.
Both these tracks have lost the energy for me. They are both good, but now that the fanfare has worn off of both, they are just another tracks. They weren't as legendary as OB2 was, or it's TOC1 conterpart, or incito.
I don't know. Doesn't seem like a HUGE ending. Voted Jam.

Hard not voting for Jam, but Explosivo was simply more entertaining, so it got my vote.

I enjoyed both tracks very much, but when it came down to my decision I chose Explosivo.
Re: Championship Poll!
It seems like people are treating Jam like more of a novelty than an actual track. Yeah it has syncs, but come on, those syncs add SO MUCH to the track. Voted for Jam.

I went with Explosivo just because Jam didn't catch on to me at all, and Explosivo did right off the bat

Wow. I just watched explosivo on mute and that way, it's way more impressive.

Argh, the community is so indecisive when it votes, looking for every aspect of a track to have an opinion unique to everyone else's. Back in toc 3 most of the polls were obvious. Now everyone's style is so unique and treasured there can't be an easy poll.
Explosivo? Indeed.

Re: Championship Poll!
Both extremely good tracks skill wise, and both based entirely off of music sync. Due to this reason, I judged the two on what both had, but could be judged as good or bad: The quality of the sync.
In Explosivo, Cereal made the syncs stand out incredibly well. Each one was beautifully obvious where he intended to put it. However, there were a few transitions that happened to be a tad late or early, and the small marginal error was made that much more obvious with the strong change.
While Rafael did fix the marginal error, with his track, and synced it perfectly each time, his transitions ranged from blatantly out there to completely subtle, and almost unnoticable. Due to his, a few parts almost seem like he missed a transition where there should have been one, giving the track an odd feel at times.
After considering the two, I finally went with Cereal's track.

It's a lose-lose situation for me. Even if I win, I'll be a bit disappointed that Jam didn't win. (Sorry if I sound like a dramatic little b*tch )
With that said, Jam gmv

False, false, and....wait for it.... false. Just saying. Went for Jam. For some reason this time through the two compact sections caught my attention and it occurred to me that Explosivo had none of that.
Kinda awkward poll for me because I voted for Type R and Serein... And also because these are both music synced, yet my all time favorite music syncing is NODA and that didn't get very far at all. ah well.

If they both would've voted for themselves, it would be the exact same result in the poll. :p

Kind of a prisoner's-dilemma sort of situation, both of them have the choice either to support the other or to vote for themselves.SPL4SHZ0N3 wrote:roflmaoqwerty wrote:Rafael wrote:Explosivo gmv. That's some next level sportsmanship right there.Cereal wrote:Jam gmv.

Re: Championship Poll!
If anybody's known me for anything about Jam, they know I don't like it all that much. The accuracy of the syncs were great, but they're just so...lame. And the song....blarg. Couldn't you sync to a less repetitive song? That being said, there are also some fantastic, wonderful, heartbeatskips moments, but eh.
On the contrary, Explosivo wasn't quite as technically impressive as (most of) Jam, but it kept me more absorbed. Granted the syncs weren't perfect, and there were/was much less of them, but each one made me think "Oh nice." or something along those lines. But the winning factor for sure is the end of the track. The pace of the tricks sped up around the same pace of the music (or at least it felt like it). Despite the fact that I'm not a huge fan of Tenacious D (like Cereal is), the music selection for a track was definitely better than MJ's Jam.
Setting music aside, Jam's more frequent highs were definitely higher than Explosivo's less common highs, (except maybe the very very end, but eh), but Explosivo's lows were consistently higher than Jam's lows, which, in turn, kept my attention much better.
Also, I feel like I have to mention that they both had end monuments, and that Jam's was definitely better. But I treat the end monument as a cool little feature to make you glad that you finished watching the track, not a deciding factor for whether the track as a whole was entertaining or not. (At which point I'd relate it to gymnastics, but in the sense that "sticking the landing" doesn't have much influence on me. :3)

Jam was mediocre, but long.
Explosivo was fantastic, but short.
Jam; long, boring.
Explosivo; short, exciting.
Cereal you deserve my vote.
