Second Rep Poll

Ok, we have three possibilities this time.

BUT we also have another piece of information. Rep cannot be reset (everyone's to zero) so this changes our options somewhat.

I don't think it's a big deal. Rep is the least important thing on this forum.

Can you make the Thanks-button say "Like"?

Keep it as it is. The thanks button is a nice idea in my opinion but it really isn't the best option. It would be great if we got a little 'thanks' everytime we did well. However I don't think it'd feel as rewarding as if we actually has the -rep option also. Then we'd know that we did extra-well if there was also the option to reduce your rep and rep would be, overall a much more rewarding addition. As I've said before, we've had rep for so long like this, why change it?
Also, if we had the thanks button, your rep could only go up, yes that may make people feel happy about not having negative rep, but negative rep is only a consequence of anonymous repping. It's only because of anonymous repping that people feel more inclined to rep as there are no ways of telling who is repping. It's because of this that, even if the tiniest thing irritates you about someone's post, you can -rep them.
So, overall we should keep rep as it is, but remove the anonymity of rep (if we can on the new site) and have it as "rep, then a reason" Then you can at least justify what irritated you about the post without a spam post.

The -rep thingy annoys me. So keep the rep, kill the -rep.

Well, if you think about it literally, you can't have LESS reputation, cause then you is probably dead. there's no - or + for reputation, because everytime you click -, it just gives the person a little more rep. Take Podback for example. <3

Meh, plus rep only. People need to speak their mind and not worry about negative rep.

You see, if we are going to only have + rep, people will cry about it anyway. The guys who has a high rep would always be higher than the guys who have a low rep. Theres just going to be a higher rep count, but the differences will be the same...

Example:

Guy 1:

Repetation: 458

Guy 2:

Repetation: 105

No negative rep would make positive rep a waste. And sometimes ppl deserve negative rep as well.

I just wanted to put that here.
