Why my tracks lack flow Empty Why my tracks lack flow

Post by Helios Pavonine Wed Jul 20, 2011 7:06 am

It's my FPS. Even when bare trackmaking, it's around 15 (and changing all the time) so that's why I can't ''feel'' the flow. Blame my CPU + RAM. I'm gonna get a new computer soon.

Doesn't exactly fit here, but where else do you want me to put it?

P.S.: With only the Flash Player opened I think it'll be around 35 fps, but hey, who doesn't want to play LR with music?
P.P.S.: My omni is done, now I only need someone to record it. Rabid and OTDE haven't responded yet... If anyone is willing to record it I would be very happy.

I play Linerider without music sometimes. Not often though. Try making the track while listening to music, but pause the music every time you want to see how the track looks at that moment. You don't have to have it playing constantly.

Well, for one, you can optimize your computer to run anything smoother. What version of Windows are you running right now?

And also, I can record your track.

I think when you pc lags, you just gotta think in different dimensions to make your track flow.

If you're getting a better pc anyway, that's cool too I guess =P

I'm using Windows XP. For your interest, 32 drivers need to be updated and 4 are missing. I'm not planning to go through all that, a new computer is the best option in my case xD

I'll send you a PM for the recording.

If you can do something to fix your problem, then do it! Install 32 drivers and go outside! (It's quite beautiful here, actually)

Weren't you the one bawwing in the Tech section a week ago about your computer, anyways?

Yeah, I bawwed pretty much. And no, a new computer. Definitely. I don't want any more problems. Also, this computer and its components are quite outdated.

I don't feel like posting after you and you posting after me and so on, gives me a feeling of chatting.

So come on the livestream if you want to discuss this. This thread was made as an announcement.

I have the same processor as you

your computer can probably be "saved" and turned "good" and still be cheaper than buying a new computer...

Pentium 4 = single core. Pentium D = dual-core and has a higher clockrate.

Helio, I had a crappy ass computer before with even less fps than you do whenever it exceeds 400 lines. I think I had more flow before than I do now.

It might not be because of your fps.

If you want to get smooth recordings just slow it down more with cheat engine. On my old computer I slowed it down to .125 speed and then used 3 x2 speed ups in WMM.

And about the music problem can't you just listen to music on an mp3 player or stereo system or something?
