Why is it impossible to draw a 90 degree angle downwards?

I've noticed that before, and I have no clue. Maybe it was because back when they made the game, they didn't think there would be a point to turning it more than 90 degrees. after all, there would be nothing you'd be able to do with that line right?... Right?

Its because if you DO draw a 90 degree line from that line, then it creates an extension of the upper line. It's similar to a Anti-gravity well or w/e.

this.

I'd also like to add that it's perfectly possible, it's just not possible if the line is snapped to the first line. Hold S and you can do it.
