I'm working on two big projects right now and this was more or less filler to take my mind off of the other two.

love how misdirectional it is, but i think the track could have benefited from more coherently flowy movement

I actually like that it isn't flowy in this particular case: it's got that sort of lumbering feel that matches the slow, downtempo-ey jazz that you used. I do agree about the coherency, though—there wasn't enough lumbering to convince me that it was totally intentional.

I enjoyed the bits where you played around with chains. I'm interested to see where people take that.

I don't understand how this track was lacking in the realm of coherence, flow, or movement.

giving constructive criticism is not pretentious

bosh's movement has seemingly no purpose.  The track itself seems to want to be misdirectional, and a lot of the jerks that lead to the misdirection are pretty well done, but what is in-between the jerks lacks the smooth movement that would have amplified the misdirectional movement.  What is in-between the jerks looks haphazardly made; understandable because of how dense the track is, but the extra effort may have made the finished product pop more.

criticism like what you posted in response is constructive. Saying obtuse phrases like "coherently flowy movement" without any elaboration is not.

(I think I will decline to comment on your elaboration if that is okay)

Thanks for the input guys. I agree that it needs to be a little smoother in places and I'm going to try and work on that.
