Break is not break for me, it seems. I've taken up a bunch of audio editing jobs that seem to be converging around the Christmas season, and I keep pushing other things like this which should be done towards the backburner. I'll see what I can do, but there's just so many different things on my plate right now.

Okay, I understand, and I know the feeling (felt the same way when was gone for a couple weeks in october). Just please keep me updated on this because the radio silence drives me crazy.

Also I was hoping to release this in time for pure's thing but alas, apparently it wasn't meant to be.

opal promised me on the marathon that he would finish this by January. And to be fair, this is the first promise he has made since I drew the last sketch for him. So he may still be a man of his word. We shall see.

I might not get the project done by the end of today, only because my computer doesn't seem to want to work as well as it usually does. This is about the fifth time that flash player crashed after only placing about 20 lines or so.

Great. (EDIT a few days later: that wasn't meant to be a sarcastic "great" lol. It's actually great.) After a month of dead air, I did hear back from LineBenji and he is also slowly making progress. Not sure which of you is further along. I'm anticipating using whoever's is done first unless you both finish around the same time in which case I will pick one.

In either case, I will use the other (incomplete or complete) as a "deleted scene". Also, if either of you give me progress .sols I will send them to the other and then you would both be free to use each other's.

Opal finished on like the 1st or 2nd of January. I just finished the recordings (which is why I wasn't here for the last couple days lol) but you can expect a release soonish

CC, benji says he thinks you'll probably finish before him but he will keep working

in other news... fuck this mask splitting shit. I just spent two solid hours and I am 22 seconds into getting a frame perfect recording of split ONE out of EIGHT (not even counting nine and then which are just at the very end). That puts me at about 5% completion JUST TO FINALIZE THE RECORDING. I already spent about 10 hours MAKING the recordings now I have to spend another 40 hours getting the recordings frame-perfect and THEN I have to overlay them all and THEN I have to edit this fucking thing.

THE THINGS I DO FOR THIS COMMUNITY

But seriously this is going to take forever. Combine the sheer number of mask splits (8, what was I thinking? oh yeah I wanted to keep the line count down so people would participate) plus the extreme space recycling of this track (seriously he like goes through the beginning area like 6 times), plus the sheer length of the track (almost 2 minutes, jesus), plus the fact that these are MASK which instantly quintuples the amount of work I had to do for dacite or anthem (several recordings for a single section instead of one)...

sigh

at least it won't take me as long as it took aspi to record incito scaena.

expect me to stream this ridiculously boring task all the time and complain a lot lol

wooooo the recording is done after ~40 hours of work

now I have to:
- record naked track
- screenshot each individual part
- determine final linecount
- edit video
- make giant stitched-together image of track

plan on doing this tomorrow. hopefully we'll have a release tomorrow night.

I don't think CC has made any progress on clarifaction. I haven't heard from Benji either.

I also want to drop a line in here and mention that IF anyone takes CC's sketch and finishes making it look all good and stuff before he does (which really shouldn't be hard, he's working at a dinosauric pace Hehe

Clarifaction is the largest collab of all time. Linecount-wise it's on par with silent flame, but it was the first CSP ever, and it has had a good deal more participants. And it's been super close to being done for LONGER than silent flame has been. And now the sole remaining purpose of this thread is to finish it. Thumbs Up

- After a bit of debate, we decided to draw her nipples. Nudity in line rider, everyone. Prepare yourselves. Inb4 95% of the comments on the track are about the nipples

- Yoban is working on a bit more with what you see before you zoom out to make it transition more smoothly (instead of seeing half of a mouse all of a sudden)
- I am going to wait a coupe weeks before recording/editing releasing this one, partly because I am a bit burnt out after silent flame but also because I don't wanna overload everyone' with two gigantic CSPs at once

It's kind of silly how they were both started within a week or two from each other, and then finished within a month of each other, almost five years later.

Bump, acp has recorded this for me in 1080p in a way that will dramatically lower the amount of work I have to do to get the recording just right. There is one spot I will re-record myself tomorrow but this should be out soon. No guarantees because I am in tech this week and next.
