The *unofficial* WRtL IRC Server

Well we now have our own IRC channel! Which shall be used for the site and our Minecraft server that will be up soon!


Here is a tutorial on how to join in using xChat (if you use mIRC, poop, I don't use it).


After installing xChat and running it click on the "Add" button and then name the server what ever you want, I named it "esper" do to that being the server our channel is hosted on and due to it having other channels that I visit sometimes. Then click on the edit button.




Then click on the next edit button to change the highlighted "nameserver/numbershere" to "irc.esper.net". You can then click on connect and type in /join #wrtl or add it to your favorites channel list.



After joining the channel make sure to type in "/nickserv register password email" to register your name, you will then have to check your email and click on the validation link. You can now chat away with us.

Hmmm at first I was like "why use that when there's the livestream?" Then I thought "wait, it can be used WITH the livestream." Could be pretty cool.

Also, I made it mandatory to register yourself with NickServ. Before that, you can't talk. (Also meaning you have to identify with NickServ on subsequent logins, use the "Nickserv password" field in XChat for that.

You could just go to:

http://webchat.esper.net/?nick=&channels=&fg_color=000000&fg_sec_color=000e63&bg_color=ffffff

and join #wrtl
