Idea: Categories

Here's an idea I had for organization of the front page, inspired by Cereal's suggestion concerning tracks. We have a list of categories and sub categories, and people click one of these to see a list of all pages in that category. I'm not sure if there is an easy way of doing this on wikimedia - if there is please let me know. a system of show/hide stuff would be awesome.

I'll make an incomplete list to show you how it would work. Not exactly sure what would be on the front page and what would be on its own page...
