"Derp" Tracks
A thread for your tracks that you want to post, but aren't serious. And / or complete.
Here's an Example :

This thread is a little late. I've already done this with like 20 tracks lol

Re: "Derp" Tracks
Not much, I've practiced it for years. Since I came back, I never learned modern quirk. I'm stuck on fling :p

Re: "Derp" Tracks
But I see your point. Sometimes I see new riders and within two days they have ASDFs down. It took me weeks to get nose flings down back in elementary school

Dude, only two weeks? I couldn't make flings at all for about a year, haha. Then again, manuals came more naturally to me, and I can tell that you are more of the 'quirk' type.

Aww, dat sucks, man. Good to see a newer face around, though (Older face, who returned? I dunno). Hope you keep coming around here and having a good time.

Made a new track. I like where it's going, (and I didn't muck up the .sol), so I'll probably continue this.

Re: "Derp" Tracks
dude the last one was like ride liner only not as good (if you know who that is you'll know that's a huge compliment)
are you familiar with the concept of flow? Might be a good thing for you to investigate.
Also, maybe try experimenting with various restrictions and different styles, all of these are pretty stylistically similar.

Thanks Rabid. You're a really cool moderator; you do what you need to do to help the site, community, and help individuals in technique. And you actually talk with other low rank members.
(Yep I know who RL is he's epic. Thanks )

Pfft come back when you've been stuck on flatsled for six years, bro.
Re: "Derp" Tracks
Okay Rabid, I tried your idea of flow, and it worked pretty well. I can alternate from quirk to smooth anytime I need to and it looks nice

Re: "Derp" Tracks
Whoa nice job! Those manuals flowed like butter! comparatively anyway
Maybe the next thing for you to try is to make your gravity wells and flings flow as well as you just made your manuals Cereal's a beast at this, watch some of his older manuquirks, or ZNF, he's a beast at it too. Then you don't have to slow down when you do quirky stuff, unless you want to.

Re: "Derp" Tracks
That was pretty good. However, I'd like to interject a few of my opinions on flow here. Usually when someone thinks of something as "flowy", they're referring to a smooth as all getout manual track. And it is true, that these are definitely smoother than other types of trackmaking. However, this sense of flow doesn't always have to be limited to manuals. It's not really a one or the other thing, more of a "I'm going to make this thing transition nicely from one thing to the next." For a quirky example, I'd say Painlobster did an excellent job at this sort of thing, especially with this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=EyVoOQHWnFE . There are also many different types of flow that work nicely other than the same speed everywhere type of stuff, but you'll find that through expiramentation and what really makes you go "Oooh, that looked pretty neat!"

What are you suggesting here? XDKramwood wrote:Rabid pretty much took the aids right from my lips.
Anyways, nice flow. Balance manuals better, even pressure, etc etc whatever. You will improve.
