One more poll on this subject

Should we keep the small stream window on the right?

Pros:
- can easily see if someone's streaming
- connects the chat to the stream
- tells new visitors that the chat is connected to the stream

Cons:
- Lag (especially if you open multiple tabs)
- Too small to see much
- Chatbox could be larger without it
- Can't turn on sound

Hopefully this will be more help than the first poll in this decision

No, the small window doesn't let me see if someone is streaming easily, it's nothing more than a link to the stream:



At the exact time of that screenshot, shammies was streaming, and we know that is not what a shammies track looks like. Get rid of the window.

I'm more meh about it, but on the very small chance we get new people coming to the website, having the stream window would be good to let them know we have a stream instead of just having a shoutbox

you can click the play button and it won't take you to the stream, it will just play it

Livestream has been acting up this week. Usually it's close to a live update.

That said, I vote no because lag. But I don't want people to vote no because they think it doesn't work.

1) If you go to another page on the forum, it refreshes and gets rid of about half of the most recent messages in the chat, but it doesn't matter since you're probably not paying attention to it or the stream anyway.
2) If you are paying attention to it and participating in the conversation, then there's a 95% chance you're on the stream page in the first place, which gets rid of the need of the stream window.

That said, I think the "Click here" is sufficient to link to the actual stream page, and the chat makes the fact that we have a stream somewhat evident. Even so, it's not really reason enough for me to vote against having the little window, since it does come in handy occasionally. I'm undecided, but I'm leaning towards getting rid of it.

Eh, I just plain don't use it, and don't think anybody else really does either. However, if they do, then I'd be more than willing to keep it for them.
