No One Dreams Anyway
Well, I finished
No One Dreams Anyway
I'd really like to say thanks to rabid and Cam for recording during me making the track (to check for sync) and rabid again for recording the final product ^^

Haha you could see your manuals improve as the track went on. Awesome work wolfy. Good syncing, great use of the buildup. Really build up tension.
Also, great job on making such a long track. The most recent track this long is? Polymer Blend? Enjoyed the whole 3 minutes, thanks for making this! <3
EDIT: This also a GREAT example of a track with ups and downs! Barrel rolls in a highspeed quirk aren't impressing but because you used to them so few the ones you did use gave me shivers! Same goes for the short quirk parts. Excelent job on that as well man!

Wow 0.0 That's just perfect! The music, the flatsledding, the manuals and the higspeed were awesome!

This was awesome, the variety of your tricks are good, your manuals and flings are good and the flow was right on. I especially like the music, it fits perfectly.

Music sync was amazing.
I really liked it, Awesome way to show improvement through one track. I find it awesome how you stuck with the beginning even though it wasn't par skill wise to the high speed part.
Nice job:D

Re: No One Dreams Anyway
This is certainly a masterpiece. An excellent example of how you don't need to be good at Line Rider by today's standards to make something powerful and immersive. Well done!
I saw it several times before, but this is the first time I saw it with the music, it added a LOT. The highspeed took on a whole new dimension with the music syncing.
Props for not giving up and for sticking with this project right to the end and finishing it off properly.

Prime blend? .-.
Any who, I'm glad you finished the track! I'm not much of a music syncing kind of guy, but you seriously surprised me with some of that high speed part.
Once upon a time I wanted to make a track synced to a high speed thing, but then I realized that high speed is boring as balls to work on, imo. =/

Re: No One Dreams Anyway
now there's progression if I've ever seen it
the monument at the end creeped me out too, which I guess was a good thing.

Re: No One Dreams Anyway
From YT:
'
The flatsledding and tailies. AH
Otherwise, great. Loved the build-up and use of red lines to actually dramatically slow down rather than constantly feeling the need to put them in the "right" direction.
The flatsledding kinda ruined it for me, though. Not for the fact that it was there, or the fact that it wasn't pressured enough. It was the fact that each curve was inconsistently pressured, making his body either pop up and down or his sled go through the line occasionally.
Just a pet pieve
'
(Inb4 I get hate for that, but really, making good low-pressure flatriding is HARD. Harder than good tailies, sometimes. I strongly encourage you to keep practicing, though! It's one of my favourite things to see when it's done perfectly.)
IRL-type review:
No One Dreams Anyway by Wolf-Spirit
Rating: Definitely worth watching
Wolf_Spirit's newest and arguably most controvercial track, No One Dreams Anyway, is an interestingly music-synced project that really should almost be called a film instead of a track. Mind you, it'd be a really artsy film, like one of those ones with no plot, but rather a bunch of naked people in masks saying things in Old English.
Essentially, the track goes like this: First, there's a passage of slow flat sledding which is super-inconsistently pressured, with the occasional gravity well thrown in. Second, there's a similar-flatsled and squishy boost section that goes upwards. Then, there's a slow-manual section with a few quirky things in it. Then, there's a fast manual section with a few quirky chainy flingy things and some flatsledding thrown in.
Then, the track ends with a well-drawn but not excessively huge monument.
So why is this definitely worth watching?
Because even though I've explained each part of it in a way that would essentially be the Line Rider equivalent of a spoiler for any other track, I haven't even gotten started to explaining this. It tells a story, even if that story has no plot, and it absorbs you into it, making you want to see what happens next, even though it's just a little man riding through some black lines on a white background.
If, that is, you can get through the floppy flatsledding, teetery tailies, and questionably quiet quirks.
