An explanation.

Okay, I've been wanting to say this for a long time, gets some baggage off my shoulders.

"OTDE," you say, "why aren't you churning out tracks like crazy if you can supposedly make 50 seconds in two days like you say you do?"

Well, here goes.
My parents divorced when I was 6. I was happy, if only because I got to hang out in an apartment for awhile with my dad. Back then, I used to switch between the houses every two days. As you can imagine, it was hectic. Later, the schedule adjusted to week-on, week-off. That's still in place, with adjustments made for holidays and such.

"Tl;dr mayne," you say. "What's your point, broski?"

I learned the messy details surrounding the divorce much later, and the conflict between houses skyrocketed. They're completely polar. Democrat, Republican. Atheist, Christian.

"Whatevs, brobot," you say, "but what does this have to to with line rider?"

One side supports my ventures in Line Rider. The other will occasionally tolerate 30 minutes on the computer.

I'd like to make you guys lots and lots of wonderful tracks, but sadly, the process is delayed. Until I turn 18. Yay. Three more years.

I feel your pain brony. I used to be caught up in the "No Line Rider" thing.

Aww that sucks to hear man.. How do you do that when going to school and all, really hectic.. :/ It sucks when your parents are divorced, but even more if they are still fighting after it.. Good luck with it bro.

now I can't advocate for you getting in trouble, but ask for a laptop for moving houses (be sure to whine and say how stressed out yo are about always having to move) and then use it to play line rider. tell the troublesome side you are doing homework on said laptop. Yes it's an incredibly selfish and jerk move, but it would work nonetheless.

I'd pull the whole "creativity, imagination, and community participation helps in future endeavours" bit.

If that doesn't work, then .

not to sound rude, but what dumbass honestly thinks just 30 minutes once in a while is enough to get anything done on a computer? your parent may as well just give you a cushion instead of a bed and tell you to sleep on it

They probably think of computers as a means of communication. Like a telephone.

I think a lot of us treat them as a world... and it's easy to go too far and spent the majority of your waking life looking at a screen. That doesn't make you happy or healthy.

Do you have a computer each place?

I've known about this for a while, but I feel like I must comment. The situation beyond sucks, I know. I've been in a similar bit of hell a while back, and I surely understand the feeling. I wish you and your *cough* better parent the best of luck in getting this sorted out (we both know what I'm talking about), and you the best of luck in mantaining sanity.

Also, I love the way you wrote the thread. Grabs the reader by the balls.

Have you talked to your parents about the problem?

A more realistic choice over buying a laptop is just being on your best behavior. If he lets you on the computer more often one day, show that you can do some chores more willingly.

Show him that you can use the computer often and not let it effect the life he put in place for you.
