Traxis, no need to keep on the aggressive tone, when the staff has already noticed about this thread, and decided to do something about it. BUT how about you promote some people here who are glad to help around the forum? I think Votale and Raf was right, you guys need to get this mess cleaned up. It feels like the works of an elitist in the terms of promoting. It's so exclusive, I think something alike of nepotism is at work here.

Get the admins to

-promote
-be more active
-clean up threads
-create more activeness
-revive threads and activities

I know the admins can do this in their spare times. But for some reason it's not going the right way.

It's a true fact, that the more admins post, the more the members post on forums.

1.1 Posting content for no relevant reason
1.2 Posting twice in a row without a good reason
1.3 Bumping without a good reason (posting in a thread that's over a month old)

2. No Flaming
2.1 Anything that insults or offends another member, including trolling
2.2 Steer clear of racial, political, or religious discussion
2.3 No bypassing the censors, they're there for a reason. For the shoutbox, or any images you produce (or any other uncensorable content), please censor your own words with asterisks (****) or other means that mask offensive words to staff satisfaction.

Maybe I could help with LAOtW or something, I've always liked the entries and admired all the artwork, and CC fell behind a bit in it. I'm sorry sir, when did I fall behind with LAotW? I get everything posted every Sunday evening WHEN THERE ARE ENOUGH ENTRIES, and I don't believe I have ever failed to do this. However, it's been taking a few weeks to get enough entries to begin a poll. This is not my fault, but I did expect the blame to fall upon me. Which is unfortunate, but I suppose I'm the one to take responsibility? If you think you can boost the amount of entries, please do. Otherwise, I don't think there's anything, involving LAotW, that you can do. =/

I not sure I have the same definition of activity as yourself. In the first quote you make it seem like none of us post or even show up, yet the second time you mention it, I get the vibe that you mean activity means doing Motw and such. If it's not posting/being there at all then i completely disagree, with motw and such I agree.

Also, with the whole initiative thing, why do staff have to be the only ones to come up with contests and challenges? That leaves me flabbergasted.

I usually only get about 15 minutes-45 minutes(if im very lucky) of time for wrtl lately. It's unfortunate and I won't get into the reasons though. I'll try harder.

The second quote is a mix-up. I meant to say "your activity", referring
to the fact that Zeno deleted some threads and banned someone.
And I never said the staff have to be the only ones to do that kind of stuff. Wolf spirit and CC also do stuff. I also do stuff. However, there's been nothing coming from the staff lately.

We delete stuff we don't want everyone to see etc. I've moved and deleted lots of things since I've been mod and I actually thought I was doing a fine job up untill this topic. It's because rabid left that we now have such a huge gap to fill. We didn't really know it was thís big untill he left. It's seriously crazy how much he did for the forum
I'm truly sorry for how things are now, but I just hadn't had a clue and I hope you understand that we are now trying to fix stuff.

Edit: If we aren't getting enough entries then why don't we, ya know, lower the entry requirements so that people who actually entered don't have to wait for other people and then we wouldn't fall behind a bit in the weeks we're supposed to be voting.

Also I think this provides me an opportunity to make an analysis of WRTL from a perspective who's seen three LR sites decrease in activity:

CotM died.
I was a bit hesitant on this idea in the first place, just like wtih .org (RCotM) we found fewer entries as LR activity dwindled... How many tracks do we get a month these days? Eight? Twelve?

MotW died.
Best track of the week wins, right? If they remember to enter. I don't recall anyone calling for MotW to get active again - possibly because there so few noteworthy tracks these days; motw was great when there were 5 tracks a week by active strong members. These days we're lucky with a 1min top-tier track a fortnight. Same applies for LAotW like CC mentioned.

Features died.
There were like, two on the docket when/before you made this thread

Announcements died.
What is there to announce? A weekly digest of admin logs? (This is a legitimate suggestion)

Line Rider Wiki died.
That's not the staff's fault, is it? It's a wiki.

This all in, I think 1 month.

Members are active on the site, sure that's nice - essential. But are they playing Line Rider, the thing that keeps the flow of posts up, the thing that creates threads outside of Off Topic? I'd place the underlying problem of things on that, not admin inactivity~

We know the problem, our question is how do we get more people to play line rider and commit to the site more. We've tried advertisements, but those neevr really seem to work. Let us brain storm, fellow internet people I don't know from somewhere around the world, and then... Let's dance

Why does ktk always post what I'm gonna post before I come in here.

While trying to fall asleep last night, it sort of popped into my mind that the wiki is really not a staff only job. I could try and help, but the only thing I could really offer is pointing out stuff that may be missing. I'm terrible at writing stuff for a wiki like that. Normal members could easily help/contribute in that.

We just need to make LRG the new TechDawgg, I mean, he already stopped playing, what else could we ask for? (please don't leave for good )

On a more serious note, I think we should somehow promote the scenery vids. Like spamming up big youtubers with awesome scened LR tracks and hope we get lucky once and it gets featured. I don't know if there are any channels Line Rider could get featured on, maybe LikeTotallyAwesome or something (because it's about games). So if we just spam up Defranco's inbox and LTA's inbox, we might get lucky (and with spam up, I mean a lot of different people send different messages, but all about line rider, we don't wanna make them angry when they finally notice us haha).

Anyway, just a thought, maybe we should try and start smaller, like someone of us should try and get big on youtube and then promote LR (that'll probably take too much time lol.)

The staff definantly needs to be more active, but not just active. VISABLY ACTIVE. if everyone sees the staff doing nothing then people will assume there won't be consaquences for their actions. If there was a city where the police were entirely invisible their would be a far greater crime rate. same scenario.

I'd just like to interject - that's highly improbable. Logically speaking, the only reason crime happens is because the person doesn't see a cop nearby. This assurance works because we know cops are visible. If they were invisible, then you can't just glance around and say, "Coast is clear. Let's go." The invisibility thing has a key factor in it though -- the police have to have been doing their job consistently beforehand (which is where your argument comes in) in order to "intimidate" criminals without their visible presence.

I think you've totally missed my point.
CotM was run by rabid. He made videos, made threads about new contest ideas, etc. My point is that no staff member picked it up.

There were plenty of entries in MotW. A lot, really. But rabid ran MotW, so again this died, because no staff member picked it up.

The featured you're talking about were done by Zeno after this thread was made. There were videos that should've been featured 2 weeks ago, but no staff member picked it up.

The problem IS that there's nothing to announce. The staff didn't organize anything. They didn't even TRY to make it more active here.

Except for rabid the staff never tried to motivate members to post in the wiki. Look at the amount of threads rabid made in the Line Rider Wiki section.

And I haven't seen worse.
