Re: Crusade- sheldon
Luved it, especially the granual parts and that recycle. The highspeed was holy crap, but then you used too much squishies and it made the squishy highspeed seem a LITTLE less intense.
But still that was a great track ;o

That's got to be one of the oddest tracks I have ever seen... and that's a good thing!
A lot of parts in there that amazed me, from all the kramuals, to the insane recycling.

I really want to start a ROL "Anything Goes" Project and let you go all out.

The kramual stuff part blew my mind. And the recycling was amazing.
Curious, what were the scenery markers for? I didn't see any particular reason for them...

I think it was bad.
jk that was amazing. Be careful not to overuse the kramual things; I feel like you sort of did.

Re: Crusade- sheldon
why are people complaining about overused kramuals? by the same logic flings flanuals manuals etc are all also overused because they appear far more times
nice track sheldon. shame to see you couldn't finish it.

Kramuals (who came up with this name anyways?) seem to be just a different kind of stall, and stalls themselves should only be used sparingly throughout a track. In a really jerky track like this one, having 1-2 is another jolt of the sled, but having too many dulls the novelty of having the rider suddenly stop. The one at the end was probably the best executed one and didn't interrupt the flow of the track at all.KillinTime2792 wrote:why are people complaining about overused kramuals? by the same logic flings flanuals manuals etc are all also overused because they appear far more times

Anyways, the beginning definitely overstays its welcome, it's just the dude traveling in a straight line; just because he's flatter at points doesn't make it more interesting to watch. The (slower) XY stuff was definitely ace, though. Only complaint were the aforementioned (ugh) kramuals. The silk road curves thing loses its momentum at a couple points, most egregiously at the beginning. The most interesting stuff in this section is definitely the quirky parts.
The gravity well section was excellent, but you extended that inverted hand fling for way too long for how sluggish it felt. It felt like you were trying to show off a difficult fling, which, while technically impressive, makes the flow suffer.
That may seem like a lot of negative comments, but it was interesting enough for me to watch a couple times and critique, which is more than can be said of most tracks.

That was awesome Sheldon. XY was great and I really liked the quirky-ish parts on the Silk Road part. 1:01 reminded me of my recycle in Power Overload
I'm glad I could help, you sure made one hell of a track!

Re: Crusade- sheldon
The beginning pinch was too long, and the "kramual" as every calls it didn't make it more interesting. It was just a kramual that move up a few pixels and that's it, just at a highspeed. That beginning was too long and over-kramualized.
The XY was cool, but seeing how much you did in one day, you could have just worked harder on perfecting it a bit more to make it better than just trying to get so much done in one day. Would have made it even better. The fakie airtime into "kramual" made me "-___-" cause I didn't like it at all.
The Silk Road manuals, as Abysmal said, slow down and speed up strangely. Like the one that is a nose manual, then switches to a very slow tail granual/manual; Kinda killed the flow you had going. Some of those manuals were really good and flowy though. Good job there. Just if you're aiming for that style, clean it up. The granuals were sloppy sometimes.
The last gravitational part reminded me of aspi, which is good. Coolio.
Lastly, you overused the "kramual" so badly it kinda ruined the flow and movement of the track most of the time. Stop abusing it lol.

You guys keep calling it the silk road manuals. I sort of thought that part more of a Omniverse llb. So. Now that that's out of the way, I must say that I agree that the kramuals are overused. I was about to include one in my battle track, and then was like, nope, no thanks, because it's been used and abused. So aside from that, the only really bad part I saw was :55, it was a minor flow killer.

/nowbackontopic.
I thought the beginning was great (excluding the pinch) it was the first time I've ever seen someone try that. The rest of the track was pretty good. Some minor errors here and there that fiddled with the overall track but I enjoyed it.

Yes it is. Considering most of us have school, 4-5 hours = the amount of time from getting home to almost the time you go to sleep. Should probably take your time, I can't even stand to work on something for more then 30 minutes at a time anymore.

Re: Crusade- sheldon
Most people don't make long tracks nowadays. A 1:10 long track is a good length, so yes, 4-5 hours a day, for about 4-5 days = a pretty good amount of work crammed into a small amount of time.

I make like 10 seconds for every 4-5 hours... I'm freakin slow. But i do play minecraft and do facebook stuff during those times too
