Track #2
You guys didn't think I was a linerider did ya? Well, I always looked towards these gravity wells or "quirks" like senior citizens looked at cell phones. Who needs 'em. Then I gave it a try.

Bit by bit.
There's the embed'd video, I'll edit once I watch it.
EDIT: The beginning G-Wells looked like my first.. pretty awesome
Not bad for a first, keep working on, I except high speed flings from you, a thousand lines long, in the future.
Well, you're on a LR site, so we kinda did.Brandon971 wrote:You guys didn't think I was a linerider did ya?
Gravity wells were never intended, I like the analogy.Brandon971 wrote:Well, I always looked towards these gravity wells or "quirks" like senior citizens looked at cell phones. Who needs 'em.

Thanks, I plan to scene it too. That's usually my focus. May I ask, what is a fling?Sdemon wrote:Bit by bit.Well, you're on a LR site, so we kinda did.Brandon971 wrote:You guys didn't think I was a linerider did ya?Gravity wells were never intended, I like the analogy.Brandon971 wrote:Well, I always looked towards these gravity wells or "quirks" like senior citizens looked at cell phones. Re: Track #2
A fling is a group of gravity wells, usually getting longer after each one, which increases the speed of the rider immensely, depending on the length of lines, distance from each other and angle.
Here is an example.
There are a ton in this video, there is a foot one (using the foot with gravity wells) at 1:06, and a tail fling shortly after.

Yes, It would be helpful if there was a video, wouldn't it .
Random video that popped up, no specific reason I chose it.

Re: Track #2
It took me about a year to be able to create a nice, strong nose fling.
I'd say keep it up, don't lose hope. It's hard in the first few months, especially the first g-well, but as you made that one it's easy to do the second and so on.
Try to see your track in a way the flow and flings are nicely combined. With manuquirks, I wouldn't change the rotation too much (like if Bosh just did a fling you make a line which brings him in the opposite rotation. If possible, you can better make a fling after that.) In alt quirks it is GREAT to see some rotation. So it's up to you which side you're going to choose. Good luck.

Yeah, I used to make 99% flatsled tracks then throw in two single GWs . I am finding it easier to make them thoughPodpack wrote:It took me about a year to be able to create a nice, strong nose fling.
