Transparent avatar on WRTL....
Hey guys!
Just a quick question...
How do you make a transparent picture for WRTL?
You see, I have tried this many times. My method is to use Photoshop and make a figure or something with a transparent background. I save it as a PNG-image. The thing is that when I am trying to use this as a avatar, it shows with ha white background :/
A example on a avatar with a transparent background: VOTALE's avatar...

Re: Transparent avatar on WRTL....
I have no idea if this is a solution, but maybe you could try save it as something else?
It probably doesn't work.
EDIT: The transparentness works exactly fine for me
EDITEDIT: Ok, my new avvy is .png, that cannot be the problem

Nope. You see, the are 2 colors in the reply-zone. I've tried this and it was a failure ....
EDIT: I think i solved it! Maybe I must use a URL-link to the picture instead of a direct upload

Re: Transparent avatar on WRTL....
make it a GIF, make a new layer not called "background" (duplicate the background layer, delete it, you should have one layer called "layer 1" or soemthing) and use the eraser to make transparent areas (shows up as a checkerboard)
Re: Transparent avatar on WRTL....
I've already done this I can make transparent images
Thanks for the help anyway, Rabid
EDIT: Save it as a GIF!?

Doesn't work for me. It turns out with a white background. =/
I would try GIF or uploading it via photoshop in the future.
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP! ^^

Avatar control panel wrote:
Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width cannot exceed 150 pixels, the height cannot exceed 200 pixels, and the file size cannot be higher than 64 KB.
Can't be bigger than that or the site will resize it without a transparent background.
Try it again with an image with a width smaller than 150 pixels and a height smaller than 200 pixels.
Problem solved
