Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
Is this good, or can we do better?
specifically from 3:26 to the end:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymL_X64bREw#t=03m26s
In order, there is:
1. SCG's slow g-roll
2. airtime
3. SCG's uberfast grolling
4. Lukking's strong fling
5. SCG's asdf
6. airtime
I have to fade out that fast or else he starts falling back down >.<
This is about the track, not the video. The final video would have:
- 6.2, not 6.7
- HD
- credits
I'll run the final video past you all and poll it before I upload it. (I won't make it until after this poll, IF we want this to be the final track)

Re: Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
I think that's crazy enough.
I guess it's supposed to have no stall right?

Re: Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
I vote NO.
1. the boring old handfling at the most climactic moment in the track. It's not right.
2. The weird flip between the alt nose flings slows him down and looks like a mistake.
3. It ends too soon. The release upwards needs to sync with the end of the music.
I really, really, REALLY don't want to publish it this way

yea i like the end
@ rabid
the flip might look like a mistake but ppl wont even see the hand fling cause it lasts like 1/5 of a second

I was 2 seconds away from crapping my pants there. The "future quirk" made my jaw drop for the first time in ages. I would say it's perfect as it is now

I don't think that alt fling near the end was strong enough :\ but that's just me.
loved scg's rolling though

Don't finish. rabid's right, that ending needs to be filled.

Re: Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
Why not just stall it at the peak of the airtime if you're so worried about the song syncing? Honestly I thought that was the end of the song and it was perfect. The hand fling last about 1/1000 of a second so don't even say that ruined it People are still gonna be like "HOLT SHIZ" from aspi's part anyways. This ending is perfectly fine IMO and let's just get the damn track out

Re: Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
I agree with rabid. The ending could use more stuff, even if it isn't quite up to the standards of aspi's part. Sorry to be such a debbie downer ;_;.

I think if Rabid isn't satisfied with it, we shouldn't release it this way. I mean, he started it all (not sure about this cuz it's that old) and he was the organizer/guide for all this.

^Yeah, but it's not only his project.

true though from what I see so far not a big enough majority think it's ready to be released. anyway, I'm now working on an extension of what I did before and working on having it release as the music ends which is more what rabid squirrel has in mind.

hand fling is tiny, and kills the end.

Re: Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
Please don't end this one with a stall. Stalls are unoriginal and boring. If you don't put a stall, the track gives the impression that it has yet to be finished, which means line rider history has yet to be finished. Any stall here would be anti-climactic. Just cut straight to black with a bang and roll the credits.
Second, I don't think we can do a lot better than that. You can always fiddle with the speed of the track to sync - that's what editing's for.

Re: Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
I suppose I might as well post this here as well as I did in the other thread, since this is the ending that will be used unless anyone happens to come on wanting to make a better version (aka Aspi )

Re: Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
You have any idea how relieving that is to hear? I thought of exactly the same, and there is much more I'm not satisfied with. But I thought I should keep my mouth shut.~boo wrote:hand fling is tiny, and kills the end.
Though, on the brighter side, I like to play LR again
Re: Evolution of LR - Is this the end?
Well, IMO we need a better ending + a stall.
Not enough "future" in the quirking... :/
(sorry for complaining -.-)
