Re: Satalyte - GhostY
Okay this was actually my favorite XY since Roborant and I know I'm probably alone here but I do think it's doing either something new or something old enough that it feels new (but I think it's actually just new)
This track had space between the tricks, instead of having the motion constant - he took a breather every other half-second instead of laying it on us 100% of the time. the result for me was that it effectively highlighted each trick and had me appreciating every little moment because I could actually see what was happening.
I also love how you don't abuse rotation - I see so many XY tracks where they just spin him and spin him like they just don't care and think I will find it cool when I just get dizzy and here it was used very sparingly. And it was also just very creative in how it pulled him, while leaving the whole thing easy for someone who isn't watching at 1/10th the speed to see everything you did.
Little bits I particularly loved:
0:13-0:15 I love those alt-looking flings that pull him back and forth (and how it fits with the music!)
0:16-0:18 first (only?) spinning stuff in the track! and I love the granual that's thrown in there to mix it up
0:20-1:22 airtime + single line rotation reverse hop + fling under = my fav part of the track
0:29-0:31 that pull back at the top and tumbling through the track - awesome!
0:32 that line was sick!
0:36 shoulder stop - awesome!
0:40 - 0:42 music sync is crazy good here. simple and effective
0:47 so fun!
0:49 where it yanks him back down
weird thing at 1:13 was great sync with music and great thing to have right before the end
okay I know I'm probably gonna get hate for liking this track so much but before you post just remember this is my opinion and I have stated it as such.

^MAX HATE MODE ACTIVATED.
Actually, no. I love your stuff GhostY.
This is an excellent use of skillful XY to create a smooth, entertaining track whose purpose is not to blow my balls off with tricks. This looks like a guy who knows what he is doing with a chill attitude and it turned out an awesome track.

Re: Satalyte - GhostY
@getthim thanks! i'll try to keep them firing off
@chuggers i might have accidentally the color haha not sure though
@rabid thanks for the in depth review! i'm glad you liked it my personal favorite part is either the sync at 0:39ish or the part at 1:13. but i'm glad those little syncs popped out!
@Dap in the xy department i don't have very much skill in terms of tricks, so i try to focus more with movement. thanks
@gao haha yeah things would be simpler if he would have stayed as Line_MagiX and thanks

bigup koan sound
While this track wasn't the most amazing technical exhibition, it had a heck of a lot of purely aesthetic quality to it, something we're seeing less and less, especially in XY. Even the oftentimes-offputting stuff like flowkillers had a sense of intention, a feeling of really belonging in the track as a whole. The strict conventions that we have in XY were largely unobserved, yet the track still made sense, and was quite enjoyable for it. Big up yourself

Really dig the track. There's something about the airtime usage/direction changes that's so satisfying to watch.
Also, that music fits so well. And I'm not referring to music syncs; it's just really fitting.
Woah when did we get this emote :rabid: :rabid: :rabid: :rabid:

Loved watching this! You did a great job on making this cohesive. Also I love the consistency of the flow during the entire track.

I loved this track, there are just so many things here that you don't see on xy, and it was pretty cool that you were able to make it work so well. No part really looked like you were stuck in one place, and I was pleasantly surprised constantly of how smoothly and quickly you get him to move in xy
