The High Ropes (Scened)
Here it is! 21500 lines and a lot of frustration put together in 1 uncut track!!
Enjoy!

(Still don't understand how to add the video)
P.S. I made the music all by myself for anyone who's interested

that was awesome! the ropes concept was executed really well and you pulled off a sense of adventure that i haven't felt from any track this year

Thank you! I really see that as a big deal, coming from a forum with Line Rider experts!

The scenery was awesome! Felt like a classic and was really enjoyable to watch! The Airplane was really cool! I enjoyed that . Next time try and work on your track, try not to have long lines just going horizontally back and forth, even though I get that it's the "High Ropes" but try and vary your track! Hope you continue to make more and stay here at the site!
Re: The High Ropes (Scened)
I feel like the airplane and the castle were the two best drawn objects within the track. The only thing I wasn't really fond of was that the rocks felt inconsistent. At one point the felt round and smooth, and then at another they were jagged and geometric. But hey, that's just nitpicking from a guy who doesn't know how to scene anyways, so you really did great considering.

Thanks for the positive critisim!
Allright so about the rock: at one point in the game the lagg was so bad it took like 5 minutes to get zoomed in so I had to draw from far away, which made them choppyer. this is also the reason I was using such basic scenery.... I guess I found out the reason why people cut their tracks in pieces the hard way.

It's hard to believe this has been released in the past few years, and in this case and only this case is that ever a good thing. Felt so classic. I adored it. Why did I love this so much? I'll never know!
Also, your clever implementation of less focused bare track style and insane scenery talent made my day. "Who needs a good track when you have epic greenery?"

@dap,mate this was posted on youtube yesterday. -.-
anyhow, awesome scenery and as opal said, the geometrics of the landscape didn't seem right but great job none the less.
ps epic plane dude

As you guys found out; I totally suck at bare tracks. But that's one thing for me to work on in the future

Re: The High Ropes (Scened)
apologies for the late response! I just had a very busy couple of weeks. But hopefully you will still get to read this! I'll roll out my scenery critique starting point/guidelines
Ambitious? Not terribly, but that's okay
Epic factor/Impressive? The pace of the track was pretty casual throughout
Complete/Cohesive? Yeah I'd say so
Vision? Not much, seemed like more of a "scene as you go" project
An Experience? Yeah, I suppose
Quality of art? Good - Mountains and airplane were highlights, trees were probably the weakest point
Creativity in scening things? Could have been better, they were usually ropes or hills - but they always worked with the surrounding scenery and "made sense"
Speed manipulations? N/A never got fast enough
Detail? Pretty good! I can tell you ran into issues with lag - splitting scenery is actually pretty easy if you get me to record it for you, check out the bottom of the first post in this thread: https://iridethelines.forumotion.com/t1778-rabid-s-reliable-recording-reservoir-rejuvenated
Consistency? A weak point. Some big swaths of white space and some super detailed stuff - probably again mostly due to lag
Unified Theme? Eh. Kinda. Nothing felt out of place, but I can't really say what the setting or theme was.
Originality? Decent - I can see you borrowed from a variety of sources and made up some stuff yourself
Speed? Decent. sometimes it got a bit slow and at that distant zoom level the screen was pretty static.
Monument placement? I think you could do with some more thought into what the camera covers in the final video. Maybe even actually frame the track. Some awesome stuff went by pretty fast, some simple stuff lingered on the screen for a long time, and there was a lot of white space or space "filled" by extending the rocks a long way.
Monument usage? Loved the sunset and the snake but the usage of the plane was brief and awkward (on the inside of the plane wing)
3-D (extrusion, adding shine, shading, contour lines, adding depth)? Mostly the shine on the rocks/hills. some nice depth created by things going behind other things - this is why the sunset looked good. Shadows also helped though it would have been nice to make them more consistent.
Made sense? Yeah, for the vast majority of the time
"Hiding" the track? (this is bad) Nothing here! You could argue the sunset was hiding the track but I liked what you did there.
Good Ending? Ending could have used some work, again probably due to lag.
I encourage you to investigate framing and mask splitting (feel free to utilize me!) and work on a more specific idea/vision for tracks in the future - and I hope to see more from you! (And I hope you see this)
