Dumb Line Rider Analogies
So I had a weird train of thought today, and thought I would make a thread today to ask if anybody else had ever thought of ways to compare things in Line Rider to real life situations. I'll start off with the one I thought of today to give an example:
The process and the time it takes to complete a track is similar to a relationship you might have with your future spouse. This idea I came up with when thinking of how I feel at different times when working on Smile and Angel. Dunno if anyone (particularly Rafael when working on Jam) feels the same way, but here's my story.
0 seconds of track - 45 seconds: You just started dating and are having a really great time learning about each other, enjoying each others company, and altogether having fun. Some tracks don't make it past this stage and you end up breaking up with them early, and you will probably stick this track in with a compilation of short tracks you made.
45 seconds - 90 seconds: You've had some time together now and are thinking of getting married. Most people they will end their story right here, and there isn't a problem with that, as long as you are happy with how the track turned out. If you were hoping to make it longer, but decided to cut it off here, you could compare it to a short "celebrity marriage" where you just made it a full track and didn't like how it was going, so you divorced than you would like.
90 seconds - 2 minutes: You've been married for a bit and decide to have a child. Maybe things are getting kind of stale and hope to have a little xy together with you, or perhaps want some manuals to change the style up a little bit. Living together / having a track this long is starting to cause a bit of stress, but you've been able to stick through the tough times.
2 minutes - 3 minutes: During this time, the stress starts to build. Sometimes you wish you had ended your track earlier, but also want to finish what you started. You children will be going through school and eventually graduating, you'll be advancing your career, and hopefully your experience with trackmaking is still strong with inspiration. Some people can't handle the pressure of continuing further, and will divorce their track and release it early. Some will be happy with their kids graduating, and will end their track on a positive note. During this time, it is also unfortunate that your spouse might die for some reason during this time, and you're left with a corrupted track that you can't continue.
3 minutes plus: You've been together for about 30 years now. Your children have moved out and graduated college, and you look back at how far you've come together and are really happy with your track now. If you've made your track this long, you're at the point where no matter how much longer you wish to make it, you will have no more trouble together, because you'll be used to the lag, setbacks, and problems with placing the flag too late and having to replay the whole track again. Everyone will be impressed with your time together, and eventually you'll retire and live the rest of your life afterwards in peace that everything is finally over.

and a collab is basically a girl(track) cheating on boy friend after boy friend till she finds the 'one' who then dumps her.
and a WCC is when a pimp(rabid, etc) is contorling the girl and chooses who she is being done by. Please take this the wrong way rabid

Re: Dumb Line Rider Analogies
That's a really nice extended metaphor/analogy etc and I can see it very clearly.
Re: Dumb Line Rider Analogies
a line is like a choice in life. you choose it yourself, but if it mucks you up later, it's your own fault.
Re: Dumb Line Rider Analogies
Interesting way of thinking. I'll have to disappoint you Sho, I don't think the same way about my tracks. When I made Jam I felt the same throughout the entire 5 minutes: I want this to happen so it will happen. In your analogy: She's the girl of my dreams and we will never fall apart. That's my way of playing in general
Line Rider tracks are like a girls though. No matter how awesome they are, they will never be perfect.
