My suggestiong ftw :I

Well I told rabid i could host irtl on my host with phpbb and maybe get the db for this site so nothing would be lost and he would have root access and then we could install mods and skins. But then I thought why not use my vBulletin license or IPB license? Much better then phpbb.

I'll give you a reason as to why it might not work out:

Say you don't like IRtL anymore, or you develop a grudge against someone. Then you'd be able to just f*** them in the database

The problem here is that the admin of the site should always pay for the hosting, as the person who pays = root admin. In this case, it wouldn't be happening, so I doubt it would work in the long run. The only way to keep that from happening is to promote you to admin.

As a side note, I could easily host this site (I'm paying for 3GB storage/75GB transfer lol), but there's no point due to the reason I said - it's too impractial.

psssh after buying my hosting for a 1 year period i r broke for a couple of weeks, and i have unlimited everything, and mhenr i havent been mad at irtl for 2 years and i have been a member for 2 years . I would never do that.

Yeah, I don't see Revo turning against us, like me. We're cool
But anyway, decision is up to rabid, I don't really care either way, as long as there is some sort of forum that has all you guys on there. Couldn't live without ya <3 (no, but really, it would be a shame if this whole community died )

What's wrong with Revo being admin? The only real change in the site would be that there would be alot more naked stuffs.

Go into phpMyAdmin, and bam. Full access to everything.

mmk, you wouldn't be able to get the database from this forum, not even rabid (as root admin) can, as forumotion do not give anyone except forumotion higher staff and webmaster staff access to them.

You get nothing unlimited. Read the T&C, I'm sure somewhere it will say something along the lines of "[WEB HOST SITE] retains the right to shut down any website that is using excess bandwidth or storage without warning".
As mhenr said, wouldn't work in the long run, and it would be absolutely stupid to give rabid the root admin account even if you did do this, as the root account will eventually lead to the cPanel login, which is a simple case for rabid to change that pw, and BAM, you've lost all back-doors into the website, ftp and all.

Um so why in the hell would I care lone if i lost ftp, as mhenr said that would be a good thing.

Also how in the hell do you know if I don't have unlimted everything huh? You don't have access to my host, just to show ya.


And no they wont shut me down cause I am a half owner of the hosting, so no i wont get shut down for exceding anything.

Also ha, a root admin account on vBulletin, I don't know why the hell everybody thinks this, does not lead to cpanel login.
