Still not complete, didn't include inverted 2nd pos foot, fakie 2nd pos foot, and inverted fakie 2nd pos foot. I'm not going to give you too much grief about it, though, because those are pretty obscure.
But yeah, awesome. I like how you included the transition from 3rdpos to FBH.

Re: Line Rider: The Complete Foot Tutorial
^ I don't think anyone numbered them until FC named the 2nd position foot fling, and then it became:
First = as it's normally done
Second = toward the nose (also applies to hand flings, which can be made stable in 2nd position, I have one in Moonguzzit for example)
Third = inverted
I've also been quietly campaigning a while behind the back to be fourth, and behind the head to either be zeroth or fifth. Zeroth would be pretty numbering, but would technically make sense since it's very hard to get from fourth to it (in fact, I've never actually seen the foot go all the way around, but I have seen the hand do that).
You probably already knew most of that, though.
Is there a part of it you think could be improved/eliminated? At first I was skeptical about inverted being 3rd, but it's a good way of distinguishing it from, say, inverted 2nd pos.

You forgot about that inverted foot thing that aspi did in Incito, but still, this is a great tutorial.

That's inverted 2nd position, hedge mentioned it.

So invhand is first position? I dunno, man. =/Lankher wrote:v<^>

Wouldn't that make more sense?
EDIT: and behind the back becomes second?

Re: Line Rider: The Complete Foot Tutorial
What the hell are you talking about Hedge?
First: down, obviously
And I accidentally mixed up left and right (soz )
I meant the 4th would be behind the back (or possibly between the pegs )

Re: Line Rider: The Complete Foot Tutorial
So invhand would still be first, and regular hand would be third? Personally I think that'd get confusing very quickly, even if technically it's more consistent. =/

Dude, third position is already there, the only difference would be the 4th positionHedgehogs4Me wrote:So invhand would still be first, and regular hand would be third? Personally I think that'd get confusing very quickly, even if technically it's more consistent. =/

Re: Line Rider: The Complete Foot Tutorial
I consider first position hand to be normal hand and third position to be invhand. Not sure about anyone else, though.
(EDIT: Also, behind the back and behind the head are very different wells that act in very different ways, especially in the case of foot, so they can't both be fourth.)

Re: Line Rider: The Complete Foot Tutorial
To me, when the foot is pulled by a line, it's a foot well. And I'm happy because I'm doing more than nose/string. Don't confuse me with 18 different positions for each of the 20 contact points.

Re: Line Rider: The Complete Foot Tutorial
I remember coming up with "2nd position" after making a weird chain of footwells (it was a 2nd position one) in some collab years ago. Then, if I remember right, Ktk and I lol'd over how it's analogous to finger positions on the violin.Hedgehogs4Me wrote:^ I don't think anyone numbered them until FC named the 2nd position foot fling
