COTM August Brainstorm
COTM July (10 mintue trackmaking) wasn't a huge success but it wasn't a fail, though it looked like it might be for a while.

Also, I would like to re-suggest the idea of a diagonal XY track (using mhenr's new 45 degree snap) Of course I would provide a context emblem thing to start off the contest so nobody could enter a track they'd already been working on for a while.I personally still like my straight up height and distance challenge. You're given a workspace and a tunnel, and you launch Bosh as far as possible (horizontal and vertical - two trophies). This idea has been around for sooooooo long but nobody's ever actually done it. I would run it so it would work
Re: COTM August Brainstorm
A freefall scenery project. Might be a little too long for a COTM, but the point would be to have him fall for a certain amout of seconds (probably 30) and have the trackmakers scene the space inbetween the start and finish as good as they can.

We need something which is easy to enter and doesn't take long to make. Preferbly without a .sol to take...
How about...
20 second track contest?

our two most successful contests so far were maze contestsWolf_Spirit wrote:We need something which is easy to enter and doesn't take long to make. Preferbly without a .sol to take...
Re: COTM August Brainstorm
But the 50 lines contest at ELR is pretty successful comapred, but I see what you mean ^^rabid squirrel wrote:our two most successful contests so far were maze contestsWolf_Spirit wrote:We need something which is easy to enter and doesn't take long to make. Preferbly without a .sol to take...
Also, I didn't see your idea for 45 degree snap, I'd go with that idea, if I knew how to

How about a climing contest, the frist one to the finish line wins. its basiclly going to be like a maze but you have to work your way up. It all depends on the way you go and how fast you are and, time counts as well.

How about a hop, skip and jump contest? Basically it's just a variation of the height and distance challenge from a launch box but with the addition of 2 or 3 lines allowed outside the box. You're allowed as many lines as you want in the box(That's the hop), then 2 lines together(skip), followed by a last single line(jump). No using of looooong red lines as ramps either, this is about making strong wells.

Also, here was one of my ideas, not sure how well it would work though:
-Make the best track you can with a low number of lines per second. (like say less than 8 lines/sec, which would be a 60 second track with 480 lines or less)
