IRTLTube Conservation Project!

The goal of this project is to find old, well-known damaged/audioswapped/muted/etc. Line Rider videos and upload them to IRTLTube so they can be observed in their former glory!

This started with SPL4SHZ0N3's "Veil" - which I rerecorded and uploaded to IRTLTube because the recording was choppy. Then, when I featured Ram Tzu's Silk Road in Video of the Week, I thought, why not do the same for this track? Then I was looking through various spin-offs of Silk Road and recalled that many of them were audioswapped or muted. However, I have downloaded many, many Line Rider videos, and I realized that I could start a project to make it easier for people to see these great videos in their original glory. So here we are!

Points I'd like to make:

• Redirection:If these videos are already uploaded elsewhere (such as vimeo or another youtube account), we will simply direct viewers there, not reupload the video.
  
• Annotations:If we do reupload a video, we will always put a large annotation in the title sequence linking people to the original upload
  
• Detachment: These are uploaded to IRTLTube, so as to detach them from any one person. This is to prevent accusations of stealing, and also to make our claims to YouTube/WMG that this is for "research purposes" more legitimate.
  
• Qualifications: If a movie/track won any kind of award or got on any major list (e.g. 3rd place in MOTW) then it qualifies as good enough to be "preserved". Also, if it was not made by you and you think it should be preserved, it automatically qualifies. EDITL PLEASE don't suggest your own tracks if they do not qualify.

Things we may do:

• If the .sol for a track is available, but the recording is bad or damaged, we may re-record the track and re-upload the recording with minimal video editing
  
• If the recording is good but the audio is swapped or muted, we may reupload an original video file
  
• If there exists a version elsewhere that is unharmed, we will simply direct people
  
• In all of these cases, the IRTLTube account will comment on the original video, directing people towards the "preserved" video

So, you might be asking, what can I do? Well, this thread is partially just to let you know that this is happening so you can appreciate these movies, but WE NEED YOUR HELP TOO!

Here's how you can help:

• MOST IMPORTANTLY, when a new video is posted here, go to the original video and give the comment directing people to the "preserved" version a thumbs up!
  
• If you have .sols of old tracks that qualify, post them!
  
• If you have original movies for tracks that qualify, post them!
  
• If you have the song for a track that was muted/audioswapped and that qualifies, post it!
  
• If you're the creator of a video and you reply to the comment, it will move even more to the top Annotations/description notes are cool too, but you can decide how much you want to do.

Great idea rabid! I'll post a video as soon as I notice a choppy or audioswapped video. Let me start with Metamorphic by BHCS. I remember it with other music.
Tigerline also has an unchoppy version of Silk Road, but it wasn't exactly like the original.

I don't really get why ''popular'' videos should be re-uploaded. What about this: Any LR video gets re-uploaded on demand.

For example, Breakfast is my most well-known and mentionable track, so in my opinion it qualifies to be re-uploaded.

I don't remember if they were in order in terms of the song or not, but I do know that coming full circle was for pillars 2, the lyrics were on screen in #7, #1 is the beginning, and #8 is the end. I think he might have had different music in the intro for some of the vids.

also, @everyone - PLEASE don't suggest your own tracks. I'm not going to upload just any track that got muted. This is for conservation of well known tracks, not a war on WMG.

I have a large amount of .sols from people on both sites circa 2007 when I was doing a lot of recording. I've got multiple sols from dus, ilt, and owly, and many others who might have only been one-track wonders. That's on a backup DVD somewhere, I'll try to get that pack uploaded as soon as I find it. I might even have rough cuts of video still...

- Millennium (No audio)
- Believe (Audio swapped- Used to be "Whispers in the Dark" by Skillet)
- Volatile (This got choppy over time. I liked it smooth )


Idk if you did that already but I didn't see it on the list unless I'm blind
