Pinch Contest

I think pinches/elevators have a lot more potential than has been realized. The purpose of this contest to realize some of that potential.

The idea is to be creative with the pinches and make things like leftward pinches, tail pinches, head/shoulder pinches, pinch loops, alt. flings/flings/chains/wells inside of pinches, and flips and stuff inside of pinches and whatever else you can come up with.

Here are the rules:

1. The track must be mostly inside of pinches. The time outside of pinches must be limited to things like short amounts of airtime, a fling, or a series of flips leading into the next pinch.

2. All line types are allowed and tracks made in FP8/9/10 and Beta 2 Rev. 6.1/6.2/6.6/6.7 will be accepted.

3. Track must be between 40 sec. and 2 min. 30 sec. in runtime.

All entries will be due on Nov. 20th (Saturday) which will give you almost three weeks. EDIT: The deadline is extended to Saturday December 4th. EDIT: The deadline is extended to Saturday, January 1st.

There will be award points for the top three tracks. I don't know how those points are awarded though so...we'll see. EDIT: We will make a poll after all the entries are in and Rabid said if there are enough entries he would give the winner a trophy. Also the winner will probably be awarded points.

Anyways, I think I'll join real fast like.

I'm working on a blue XY pinch track. It won't be good enough to win but I'll probably still enter it. Now we're up to four people.

Hey man, extend the dead line. I just noticed this and Id like to try it. Im sure there are others thinking the same.

how many entries do you have? I'd wait until you have at least 3 or 4.

Yeah that's probably a good idea. I have a feeling some of the entrants may have forgotten about this contest. I'd like some time to finish my entry too actually but I didn't want to be selfish and make everybody wait.

I'll extend it to Saturday, December 4th. That's two weeks from now. If we end up needing more time we can extend it further.

Okay, ive got a bit but Im having trouble continuing it, so dont be suprised if i dont make the deadline.

Well if no one is ready we can just extend it again. How far are you guys? Do you think 50 seconds is too long?

can we get a demo entry constituting exactly what is and what isn't pinching?

i mean we know what basic pinching is but this is about inspiring pinches which may make them not pinches but just tricks done between 2 lines.

Bosh being squeezed between two lines usually in a way that usually either speeds him up or slows him down is a pinch. The idea of this contest is to try and use them in unusal ways, for example loops or with alt. flings.

Tricks in between lines is fine but not that's not a pinch.

I'm stuck in progress, can't continue it, count me out.

Alright yesterday was the entry date but apparently no one is finished. I realize you're all busy with school and there is Christmas coming up so I can extend the entry date until the end of December if you want. You'll have time to work on your tracks during Christmas break and then have your entries ready by January 1st.

Also I never bothered to make an entry form. I'll put one in the original post now.
