IRTL LAOTW #6 - Entering

Information:
- Anyone can enter a screenshot
- If less than 5 screenshots are entered, the thread will remain open until the next week.
- Entries are capped at 10 each week. (to avoid having lots of entries at first and then less and less later)

Rules:
- It must be a screenshot of a version of Beta 2 or Beta 3
- No part of the screenshot must have ever been entered before (this includes on the old IRTL)
- You must have made at least part of the screenshot, and you must credit anyone else who took part in making it (e.g. credit the trackmaker of the track you're scening)
- You may only enter one screenshot per week
- It must NOT be edited, (even if the track is an editing track!) other than resizing or cropping. If we don't believe you, we may ask for the .sol.
- Tweakwindow/Powermenu are STRICTLY against the rules. If we see anything that looks suspicious we will probably not give you the benefit of the doubt. (Advice: don't copy a picture in any way )

Use this form, replacing the items in {}s:

Add on other usernames in a similar manner if more than one person worked on the artwork.

This should appear as plain text, do not remove the {code}{/code} tags or your entry will be ignored.

LAOTW 6 already? I will post once I Am finished with the one I am working on. BTW can I change my entry later this week if I make a better one?

Just enter it in the next LAOTW when it comes time for that.

I might enter something bad.

Since everybody keeps saying "LAOTW again already?" I would like to point out that it is Line Art of the Week. Therefor, yes, it will be held every week unless we don't get enough entries.

but people change MOTW entries all the time, why not LAOTW?

Imagine this;
I enter something meh, then others enter. Then at the end of the week I change my entry to something amazing. Doesn't that seem unfair? It's like luring people into entering and then (possibly) not standing a chance.

It's not against the rules to just wait and enter an awesome screenshot on Saturday though... how could we enforce it?

New idea I've thought about for a while:
People must enter by personal message. That way nobody is tricked or blind-sided.

yes, but then people don't see activity in the section and forget to enter.

Worth a shot though, try it out for a week and see how it goes

ok say you post something meh at the start of the week, then take it out and enter something awesome at the end. what's stopping other people from entering something awesome anyway? what you choose and what you don't choose to enter is your choice, if you feel you are unhappy with a piece and decide to take it out to work on it for next time or to update it for this time then that choice should be yours.

That, and I plan to bump the thread everytime someone PMs me an entry. That way they know people are entering and they don't forget. I'm going to try this next week. We'll see how it goes.

And KillinTime, IMO it's like chess. Once you let go of your piece, you can't take your move back.

how is this like chess? his entry isn't suddenly going to inspire everyone else who's going to enter to put in some piece of baloney.

besides it's up to people on the LR community to vote on the winner anyway, we can always choose to not vote for the person who abandoned his first entry to put in a new one.

It causes them to not enter (hold their entry for another week). If they know that they won't be able to beat another entry, they most likely won't want to use it that week. I'm done pursuing this argument. I've been involved with LAotW since the very beginning. I know how it works.

CC, for what you said, wouldnt that make your idea for pming it to you stupid? if people want to see what other people have made, but they also have to pm you to enter, and never get to see what others have made doesnt that defeat the point?

Camstudio, its freeware and it works well, just dont minimize the window

That's the point. I don't want people to see the other entries. Anonymous entries so nobody holds back their entry due to not wanting to lose against a certain other entry. Then at the end of the week everybody will see all the entries and vote for their favorite.

Anyways, please, stop the discussion. This is an entering thread and I already said that next week will just be a test, unless it works well. So please enter people.
