    This version is just like 6.7 except its XY snap also goes at perfect 45 degree angles. This has been used in several tracks, but nothing major.
  • Mhenr's 6.2 Widescreen Recording Version: http://www.swfme.com/swfs/1006806.2-Rec2fps-1024x576.swf
    This is just like 6.2 except it runs at 2fps, making it helpful for recording scenery-heavy tracks with slow computers, and its dimensions are 1024x576 (widescreen). There is also a version that runs at 2 fps but displays 40fps (also 1024x576), so recordings can be sped up, and will then appear to have been recorded perfectly.
  • kevansevans's 6.7 + Flag Lock: http://www.truploader.com/uploads/2_18_2012/8946426.7flaglock.swf
    This version was titled "6.7v3 with flag lock" by kevansevans, but the only way it is different from 6.7 is that the flag button can only be used while holding the shift key. An earlier version did not work correctly, but this one does. It is entirely compatible with 6.7.

    This version is just like 6.1 except all of Bosh's contact points are visible. Useful for learning how various things work in Line Rider by looking at the mechanics.

    This version is just like 6.7 except gravity is 10 times as strong. There was a contest based off this version.

    InXile's failure version to try to get around the flash copyright. It had ways to easily share tracks without recording, but had many, many issues with lag and glitches. There was a giant thread on the old IRTL with the title "I HATE LINE RIDER SILVERLIGHT!" in which many people expressed their anger.
  • Line Rider 2: Unbound: http://www.linerider2unbound.com
    To date the only commercial release of Line Rider. Many people were very excited for its release and there were even some good tracks made in it for a time, but it was ultimately a failure in the serious Line Rider community. There are also versions for the 3DS and Wii
  • Line Rider for iPhone/iPod Touch: http://www.linerider.com/mobile.aspx
    Another venture by InXile. It's difficult to do serious work on a tiny iPod screen though, so we rarely use it.

    This version is just like 6.3 except there is the ability to make boxes with a single tool. They function as green lines, but do not erase properly and cause issues with linecount and saving.

    This version was titled "6.7v2.1" by kevansevans, but the only thing different about it is that the flag is in a different place. This keeps people from accidentally clicking flag when they want to click stop. The flag lock version is generally used rather than this one because it looks just like 6.7.

    This version is just like 6.7 except with a black background.

    This version was released as "Engine 2.0" by kevansevans but it's just like 6.7 except it runs at 60fps.

    This was as far as mhenr got making Line Rider from scratch in Action Script 3. He eventually abandoned the project. I believe this particular version can only be opened on a mac.

    This is Conun's recreation of Line Rider in Python for a school programming project. You will need python to open and play it.

Line Rider Spin-Offs:

  • Line Rider Quirk Hax
    These versions, for the most part, look just like Line Rider except that Bosh is much more resistant to crashes, especially when using gravity wells. Mhenr created the first one in early 2009, and immediately several tracks were released by people pretending they could quirk, using the hax. Z_N-Freak could tell that the tracks were made in hax (interestingly, nobody else could), so they were caught and quirk hax were declared against site rules. The version spread around on the down-low regardless, and people often release tracks made with hax just for fun nowadays. In one notable case, Vibrato by SamThePoor, was accused of being quirk hax but most people thought it was real. Many months later, he admitted that it was in fact made in quirk hax, after the track had been featured on IRTL, had inspired many to do greater things in XY, and had found a spot on the List of Exceptional of Line Rider Movies. You may download these hax and play with them, but please do not release tracks made with these claiming they are real. Thank you Smile

    Features a guy on a motorcycle instead of a sled. There are many versions: Line Flyer 2, Line Flyer (other version?), Jeep Flyer, Line Boarder, Chair Flyer,

    Came out before Beta 2, since people were impatient for erasers and acceleration lines. Was quickly overshadowed by Beta 2, however.

    Similar to Line Rider, but tracks are made with the rider (a biker) on screen at all times. The biker can also be controlled with the keyboard. Concepts of quirk and scenery are also present in free rider. Version 1, SE Version
  • Canvas Rider: http://canvasrider.com/draw
    Similar to Free Rider but with a stronger emphasis on scenery. People create environment and publish them and then others ride through the world and attempt not to fall off. It's also virtually lagless.
  • Line Rider Racing: http://www.sparkworkz.com/lrracing/
    Developed by SparkWorkz (The company that took over from InXile), using the LR2 Unbound engine, this game allows other online players from across the internet to race along a pre-constructed track, collect coins, and set records.

no, it doesn't work the same way AFAIK, thought the physics are similar. He programmed it from scratch. I don't know if he ever published a version for linux or windows.

I can shift+click on flag during play mod, but it if I shift+click on it in edit mode it does nothing.

Would you guys consider Line Rider 6.0 to be uncommon? It has slightly different physics than any other version I've played

Yes, but thank you! definitely goes on the list. I knew it existed but I've never had a copy.

EDIT: only difference I can see is that it says 6 instead of 6.1 lol. Might have different physics from 6.1, I know it's different from 6.2. Still goes on the list because it was an official fsk version.

I've tested out a track that worked in 6.1, and it didn't work on this version. I think the acceleration lines are more powerful.

maybe I can find a better host or add mediafire links as well...

the imagedoll ones don't work at all anymore, last time I tried I couldn't upload to swfcabin

meh, no good swf hosts out there...

I'm making a quirk in the b1 chair rider. It has another one of those "randomly goes into obscure position" things. It's definitely not hax, but it's loads easier than B1.
