The Gorge

Making sure this is up all the way so I finish it.

I'll be making notes about progress in this thread. Stay tuned for my first ever full scenery track!

1/4/16
Completely fleshed out everything-- no more sketchy ideas! one with bridge and accompanying suspension. Final linecount for today: 21617. Next goal-- finishing the bridge terrace. Distant goal: ship monument. This should be an interesting week.

Finished the bridge flotilla and the entirety of the hills! Next step: looking at coral, completing underwater bridge. I really should call this track "Death by Bridge."
Final linecount for today: 24000.

No progress today! Was a bit hectic. Will (maybe?) do the underwater bridge tomorrow. Still looking at coral.

I have discovered the great lengths I will go to in order to cover up track intersections. I now understand why sceners hate them so much.

I am attempting to find a way to convey "this part of the bridge is underwater." Diagonal shading works, but is very time intensive. May be the only neat way to do it. Final linecount for this week through Friday: 26355.

All right, here's my routine:

I'll update in the OP every time I make progress in a given day.
I'll bump the thread every time there's a milestone.

Speaking of which, I just hit 20000 lines. so there's that.

This project has 3 distinct sections:
The Hills
The Reef
The Deep
Which are all milestones.

I'm laying out the milestones so I have tangible goals, and will complete this faster than I used to. I don't remember if I have any other projects on the table, so for now, this is the sole project I'm working on.

Hope to get this out when it's all ready.

Undoubtedly the best LR history. Be careful of setting your standards too high.

It's difficult to top Sonata, but just for you, LV, I'll try my hardest!

I don't remember any post where somebody outright stated that they were uninterested in a track that was up and coming. They usually don't care enough to expose that information.

I now have the single largest save for a scenery track in Line Rider history, passing Sorv's final save for MMS, which had exactly 50000 lines.
