The Hardest Word - gao

An alternative alt quirk. Made in November, 2013, but I only decided to put together the relatively incomplete track today. I hope you enjoy. and don't Eden 2 this track pls
Also, apologies for the little quirk in the filming at around 1:34-5 where it jumps some frames, too tired to fix it. To get an idea of what happened, look at the color replay.

This really took a liberal edge to the idea of music sync, and I feel that it off beautifully. I've noticed a lot of times when people try to fit something to music, they have a hard time letting go of old habits, such as "I can't have flatsled here, it'll look silly", or "I still need to keep the tricks flashy and amazing if people are going to like it", but even the most basic of flatsled can be really powerful in the right place. I'm also noticing that curves were done away with completely. Did that have anything to do with the theme of the song, or was it whimsy?

That was fun and refreshing to watch. Cool concept and cool quirk segments. And I loved the song. Thought it was Regina Spektor, sounds exactly like her.

It's probably part of the "broken [heart]" feeling of the song or something, where there is no more warmth etc. etc. so no more curves or more organic/dynamic forms of line rider. Actually, it's because I can't make a decent smooth curve.

Thought the same thing actually. That song was great and oddly enough, it fit he track very well.

Call me a fanboy, buuuuut...
This is the most moving LineRider I've seen in a long time. LR can make me want to laugh, cry, scream HOLY SHOE, and simply sit there in contemplation. There have been tracks that made me gasp in appreciation, and others I watched over and over in frustration that it NEVER gets old. But this? This isn't just art, it's mastery. Especially for the music sync. Flatsled deserves more of this. I loved this LR. Thank you, gao!
