Technicalities technicalities. :P Although Qwerty is right. The nose has two separate contact points. One being pulled is defined as nose, and the other is spidey, due to the little string shooting out to make contact with the well.

Indeed; nose is a contact point on the bottom of the head of the sled and string is... well... the string. Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial nonetheless.

No problem. And you're right, his string does get yanked. I should have specifid. There IS a difference (as of ASDFs being invented, that is.)

Neither are really modern quirk. The term spidey was coined a long time ago after the string shot out, and people went all "Ooh, das pretty cool." Doubt they understood the technical stuff about what happened why, but they knew there was a difference.

I think it was Sorv who made a 'spidey fling' tutorial.
And I was wrong, there was no modern trick that really emphasized the difference. It was back in fling quirk.

ZNF was the guy who first 1) made a spidey fling tutorial 2) distinguished between spidey and "bottom nose"

his videos are down sadly so who knows when these things took place. but my guess is late 2007 or early 2008
