Hey. You might have noticed this, but as of 2-3 years ago, 90% of the time I do admin work is when it's important stuff. This is probably one of those times. We've been ded since New Yerar's, and before then we didn't have much community LR action going on.

We need things to do so that we'll all have things to look at/comment on/look forward to every day. We just need some sparks. Honestly I feel like even if I didn't do anything except make this announcement, everybody would come post more and stuff because they feel bad for not posting. But rest assured that things will occur this coming week.

Section 1: Things will occur this coming week.

1. Mini-Contests. I've had a few ideas in mind that will be easy, not take too long, and should be pretty fun. Like a few 30 second tracks with some fun constraints. If you have suggestions, post away. If you don't enter, I'm going to edit your posts to make you look like a huge douche
   
2. Poll of the Day. Let's get this going daily again. If you have a poll idea, just post it as long as one hasn't been posted that day already. And make sure it isn't totally lame. I'll make some, you guys make some, we all make some. If you don't vote or make polls I'm going to dip your hand in cold water when you're asleep
   
3. You making a track. DO IT. Do it. Don't be the only guy that doesn't make one. If you don't then I'll call bomb threats on your school/college campus until it becomes not fun anymore
   
4. When you make your track, use Grillz as the song.
   
5. Go to the Livestream and just stay there. Like, all day. Not just this week, either. Pause the stream while you're doing other stuff, check the tab to see if people are on every now and then. Don't just join and leave because nobody's there. That's why nobody is ever there. If you aren't in the Livestream 24/7 I'm going to sneak into your house and break your Lego X-Wing
   
6. MotM. Enter the track you're going to make this week. If you don't enter Movie of the Month I will call your cell phone twice per day and ask if you want to go bowling or play darts
   
7. CotM. I don't know what's been going on about that. Respond and say something about Contest of the Month or I'll release a groundhog in your backyard and it'll eat all the flowers in your garden. Never mind, I'll answer for you. You care so much and want to enter every one from this day forward. I'll make another thread for suggestions soon. Edit: Just heard Shotoku has been doing everything. Thanks bro. =) Now everybody go enter

Things that will happen some time eventually

1. New mhenr site. Do it bro. Yeah man. We're excited.
   
2. LR Unleashed. It's gonna be like a whole new game, except this time it's not going to suck and we'll actually want to play it
   
3. ToC/ToCC. We can do that this summer. Start making your tracks, bros. Go HAM.
   
4. Easter. Nothing could bring us together quite like Jesus.
   
5. See 1-3

I drank too much coffee. Seriously though, I think if we just make even a small effort, we can get this place active again without a problem.

I know a lot of you don't play LR anymore, but if the people that do play post some stuff, then everyone will have things to look at/comment on.

This post made my day for three reasons:
1) The sync to Grillz was amazing. I love how you transitioned to Section 1 during the chorus, and that eighth bullet point synced amazingly.

2) In all honesty, though, these are great suggestions. I sincerely hope they'll be carried out, and I'll personally do my best to help carry them out as well (and avoid these threats)

3) I care about CotM, I've made a concerted effort to enter in the vast majority of them; I know Shotoku is doing some major overhauls in this regard, you may want to talk with him about where to go in the future.

All in all, thanks a million for all the great ideas, I'm sure they'll work fantastically.

Haha, thanks. If anything, I think I should be thanking you guys for putting up with our laziness. Thanks for the tip about Shotoku. If he doesn't make an appearance in here then I'll PM him. Edit: Oh he already has a thread up for March. What a baller. <3

Note: I'm driving 5+ hours to visit home this weekend so I probably won't be around to do much. Next week though I can just do stuff from work, like I'm doing right now.

Great ideas. We all need to execute those ideas now

I'm up for mini contests if enough people are interested, but I was going to try to do some smaller, easier contests for CotM anyways because people don't seem to want to try if it takes too much work. If people want to do smaller contests every couple weeks and people actively enter these more often we could do bigger stuff for CotM.
Poll of the Day is fun, I just think a lot of the time it isn't up is because people can't think of good ideas for polls. If there is officially no restriction on what people can post people might be more inclined to make one every now and then.
My laptop sucks, so I have trouble streaming and keeping the stream open while I do other stuff. When you mentioned this though I thought of how I could keep it open during my programming class I take on the school's computers, but everyone else is probably and school/work at that time, but I'll try to remember anyways.
For the decision between ToC/ToCC, I choose ToCC because my collab partner and I decided we want our track to be our ToCC track for whenever it comes around.

The MotM problem is already under control; under the new system, the top 8 tracks from each month are automatically entered, and you have to PM Wolf to specifically not enter a track if you don't want to that month.

But yeah, I feel that we just need to start.... well.... making tracks. Everyone, look at inspirational tracks and be inspired. Or else AC will- yeah you get the point.

Yeah that's what I took from the post. I will try to be more active and do stuff though. A new site will definitely maybe probably hopefully help.

This interests/excites me the most. Is mhenr still working on stuff?
