The Source - Rafael
I've got to say, I'm very proud of this track. I've been very inspired lately and it looks like The Source isn't empty yet. This track was made within one month, and I had a lot of fun with it. Also, I made the whole manual part in one day
I recommend watching in 720p and in the second-biggest screen size. Enjoy!

I like the density and style of the track, it reminds me of TCR's tracks a bit and the sync fits alright with the track as well. Overall it was a really nice track, nice job.

Pretty sweet. I like how the quirk and the manuals were completely separated but still felt cohesive and awesome. I especially liked that part that looked like the future quirk section of EoLR.
The only thing I felt was missing was just something that is very memorable but hey for 1 month I don't think I could ask for better.
By memorable I mean that I can differentiate between different tracks when I'm thinking about them weeks later. I feel the same about a lot of Kramwood's tracks too so don't feel too put out, because this is still really awesome.

Well, wow.
Moments:
0:14 - i was like wut hapend
0:16 - ossum sauce, looks like something out of vision
0:18/0:19 - love the shift here, where the curve switches but bosh stays in the same position
0:20 - sick integration
0:23 - ossum roll
0:25-0:29 - all that was pure fun
0:35 - curving that flanual down = sweetness
0:38 reminded me of vision again
0:39-0:42 - WUT HAPEN MY MIND SPLODE AHHH but srs holy crap that was an amazing three seconds
0:56 - love how you shifted to manuals for vocals
1:03 - flashkick much? epic.
1:14 was so cool because it wasn't hard to see what happened
overall, best moment was definitely the WAT flanual... thing... at 0:40, but the whole thing was just a highly enjoyable fast-paced wtf-inducing joyride. If someone had shown me this and told me Hedge made it I would have totally believed them and said "wow, Hedge just keeps getting better"
EDIT: also noticed that I never mentioned that this reminded me a lot of The River prolly cuz music

Not Derpial Derpinity?
Great work on this one! track had a substantial flow along with some speed variation. That tunnel-ish part really blew my candle. I've also never seen a horizontal hand/tail alt fling before!
You seemed to have a case of Hedge-syndrome with that excessive zooming. Not a big deal, just kinda distracting.

Couldn't watch the whole thing without making this comment:
Really? I understand zooming while epic things happen make it more epic, but really?
Aside from that, I thought it was a cool little track.

Also, yeah. I wanted to take a song similar to The River because I love those kind of drum rhythms

Creative, no.
He didn't "create" anything. He made a pinch/flanual roll very similar to the one aspi made in EoLR.
It was a track.

I liked it. I thought it was creative. Doesn't mean you have to agree with me, but whether or not the pinch was creative is certainly subject to opinion. If I made a nosefling that was used in an interesting fashion, it would still be creative, even if someone's done it before. LOVE the track, Raf, keep makin' these.

So you are saying that everything that has been done before is creative. My nose manual is creative, because there is not one EXACTLY like it.

sheldon, you are clearly full of crap and dislike the track just because Raf made it. GTFO if you don't have anything nice to saySheldon wrote:So you are saying that everything that has been done before is creative. My nose manual is creative, because there is not one EXACTLY like it.
Also - OTDE said it was "certainly subject to opinion" and you need to respect that

^winwinwin
exactly what i was going to say, except less rude but also less awesome.
I told raf that I didn't think it was that cool on msn, but i also realized that it's my opinion and since i don't agree with the majority, i'm probably wrong and i accept that. i also realized with my brain that it's nothing to make a big deal about.

creative ≠ original, and plus even if it has been done before, its still creative, and looks visually awesome.

Naw, just that it's not for me or you or anyone else to decide what's creative and what's not.
Do you have a special dislike for Raf or something? I must be weird, but I don't stay butthurt for THAT long.

Good luck.
In response to Valance feature thread.
In my opinion this track is meh. Thank you for shopping at Sheldon's opinion mart, we were sure to include that extra bias you asked for.
Also for dessert:

Rafael wrote:You should make tracks more "from the heart" instead of trying to be impressive. Valance was a showoff of your skills, and Silhouette was a showoff of how you can other things than tricks. At least, that's the feeling I get when watching these tracks. This also looks like a showoff. Make whatever you want instead of what (you think) the audience wants.
Hypocrite.
