I take it you may only draw track inside other green lines?

if you want to win, there's no rule against it thoughRafael wrote:I take it you may only draw track inside other green lines?

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
Well *thinks* Lines can only be drawn within the green lines, so the finished product should come out looking pretty much exactly like what I have, just with blue and red lines Though there can be the odd line floating about...This is just so that the track is being build IN the scenery as opposed to adding scenery to make the track more work-able.
Oh, the last rule, at the end of the track, you can draw an ending monument if you wish ^^ Though it shouldn't have any lines on it except green, it's just there to look pwetty.

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
waiiiiit you just added the tracklines-only-into-green-lines-rule...why so? as long as they are used and not just floating around so they fit the scenery better I don't see a problem with making lines outside of the scenery lines. This especially comes in handy for gwells and stuff. Apart from that, it is possible to add tracklines which actually fit into the scenery.
Okay so the ending monument is just for the heck of it...which also gives you +points ^_^

Hm, that's a fair point, I wasn't really sure how this would actually work at first :bGeorgio_jc wrote:waiiiiit you just added the tracklines-only-into-green-lines-rule...why so? as long as they are used and not just floating around so they fit the scenery better I don't see a problem with making lines outside of the scenery lines. I was thinking that this contest would work like, you draw your track within the scenery, so it looks pretty much the same when it's finished (with blue/red lines added) to make it more difficult and more of a challenge to make the best track. However...
Let's just say no excessive adding to the scenery so that you can create whatever you want without using the senery given?

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
Maaan that would be like....damn hard It's not like you're going to win if the track doesn't fit the scenery at all anyway. Or at least that's what I thought.

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
^ That works
Okay, so you CAN draw lines outside the scenery, but not outside the 'area' no scenery added still, but a monument can be to make it look nice ^^
That okay?

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
Sounds good to me! =D
Ohyeah one more thing...I guess it shouldn't be allowed that the monument covers up tracklines which aren't already made on already given scenery lines.
Guess we've got it now.

What. I just spent 3 hours making a track with all lines being in the green. Wasn't that exactly the point of the contest?

That's still allowed, it's WAY more difficult than putting lines in and around the scenery, so it'll look better than people who didn't do that. It'll do better if lines are in the green, but for people who can't handle that, they can put the odd line outside the green, so they're less likely to win.

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
Okay...let's get this straight...
Any more confusion? ;-;
- You have some scenery.
- You have to draw a track in the scenery.
- Your tracks lines can go out of the scenery, but it'll probably look terrible so I'd encouage you not to do that.
- It will look so much better if you draw in the green lines, so you should probably do that.
- You can only go out the scenery because it may be difficult for some to stick to the scenery lines.
- You can draw a monument at the end as long as it does not have any track lines in it.
Any more confusion? ;-;

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
I'm gonna draw an ending monument that's the size of the whole track... lol That's the problem. You can't put a size limit or judge it appropriately, so I think the monument idea can be abused and therefore removed.

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
^ Are you suggesting I can't trust you guys to make one single monument that isn't even necessary? ;D
The monuemnt is allowed as long as it does not use any track lines or incorporate any track lines, just for decoration.
I'll say again that the monument was a request and there SHOULD be no problem with adding one...
It won't count for anything in voting, but everyone loves monuments, yes?

Lol I wouldn't trust some of the people on this forum to actually follow that rule

^ Olol
Well if the monuemnt (which isn't actually needed) is used to hide track lines the entry will be disquallified or the monument will be removed

Re: CotM #10 (January) - Scenery to Track Contest
But wasn't the point of this whole contest making the BEST track INSIDE those green lines? Sorry but the rule about adding lines outside the green lines doesn't make any sense to me, at all.
