Member Awards?

It seems like this will be the Irtl for quite a while, and with 2 of
the 4 admins handling everything right now, the other 2 could get
active and do Member Awards. We have all the active members from the
old irtl by now, at least most of them, so I think we could start
member awards again. We will probably get 3-4 in, as we will be on this
Irtl for a while. The old complaint ''we don't have all the members that would normally win'' won't work, because if they actually cared about Irtl they would be here [/hate]

Didn't the admins say that it takes too long to deal with member awards and they don't have enough time to do them? Regardless of this I think that we should do member awards

well. this goes along with what rabid said about the non activeness in the MOTW battles and contests. if no one participates in those then who can get awards?

Well, let's see, if they don't participate in the events, like MotW, they don't get awards because no one sees them doing anything. There is 2 free admins at the moment, they should be able to get everything together

Not even close. In 2 days, I end up having 2 comments on my track. If IRtL were still up, there would be about 20 by now. T_T

yea my tracks get overlooked all the time, they may not be great but still i need feedback on them. we do have the MAIN active members that are always on.

I think this could be good, but we have a problem. How do we give awards? we don't have an award system, really...

Of course, there is the question of "do the staff have enough motivation?" which is up for us to decide. But if there is enough feedback in support of member awards, we'd probably give in.

Add award points and put something in their sig? If they have the award point you can be sure they aren't cheating to get awards, and then the sig shows the exact award they got?

um, award points I was kind of reserving for line rider stuff, like MOTW/battles/contests

Well just a thing for there sig, maybe with there name on it?

It's a lot of work, and there aren't enough members to have it be worth the while IMO. Back at the old site there were a lot more people nominating (not just the active members) and we would get quite a bit of people in the polls.
