.sol issue. Empty .sol issue.

Post by Se7eN Sat Aug 06, 2011 7:13 pm

I can't rename my .sols, or delete them. Whenever I try to switch .sols, it says the file is open in a another program, but it isn't. Also, sometime it creates an identical file in localhost, named "savedLines.sxx." That .sxx file is identical in size. :P I've tried restarting my computer; dosen't do anything.

Help?

I've seen a .sxx file, but only for a split second while closing LR with a large .sol

if you're sure LR isn't open or in the process of closing when you're messing with .sols, then I have no advice for you.

I was screwing with the track, and it dosen't save. I have a backup of the .sol, but I can't use it because i can't do anything to this corrupted .sol.

Thanks Rabid, but not helpful.

Please, anyone else?

Uhm. I have an idea.

Ctrl+Alt+Delete, go to Processes. Look for FlashPlayer.exe. If it's up, force close it. If not, try this:'

If you can get all the .sols you want out of the folder, completely delete the localhost folder. Restart your PC, save a track in line rider, and then go to the localhost folder.

If it says you can't delete all of the folder because something in it is in use, it's lying. The only thing that uses .sol files is Flash Player, as .sol is for Flash Player Shared Objects. If FlashPlayer.exe isn't open, it shouldn't be in use. If it says it is, I don't even know.
