Inhibitions Z ~ S.A.D. Boys
For your viewing pleasure.
- Info:
- I started this track 30 days ago, March 29. I didn't have a track or song in mind, I was just doodling around and decided it'd be fun to play around with the spatial feeling a track can give using XY and then adding 45 into the mix. I realized a favorite song of mine fit well to it, and began a sync project and started to draw more technical content. It quickly evolved into a fully fledged track, in which Sheldon and Anton wanted to participate. Without them, this track would not be possible. We decided not to share who did what, because we all contributed pretty evenly and very often would all three work on the same sections within 1 second of each other (we passed around 400 saves between ourselves). It wouldn't make sense to list three names flashing back and forth when we all worked on the same frame anyway, and we're all capable of the same stuff. Got it out before finals!
Happy 2 year anniversary since returning, to meeeeeee
- Mentions:
- There were 7844 lines without any green lines, and some might've been unused. Also, we didn't shorten every line either, I know.
Anton would win with an insanely close 7805 but he worked on it soooo
Rich actually won with a guess of 7777
I would like to thank Noah for making LRA, SCG and ZNF for inspiring me to crush the XYZ genre, Anton for his FREAKIN' WIZARDRY, and LR master Sheldon, for whom I originally intended to make the track. Whether you like it or not, buddy, I dedicate my work on it to you.
A super special thanks to Noah for allowing SLAG wells.

I am so glad you guys are all playing Line Rider right now. This is some of the fastest I think this game has ever technically developed and it's incredible to watch everything unfold.
I loved the track and the syncing was beautiful. Everything was so smooth and I honestly don't think I could tell the parts apart. The style was so consistent all the way through. Very fun to watch.

This track threw my excitement in orthogonal circles; if I could express that better, I would. Now I would appreciate, hugely, if someone would explain some of these singularities and some of this stacking; I wish to better understand it, but I don't have enough time to rewatch Rabid's video on stacking, or kramuals for that matter, but I understand kramuals. This track is beautiful; the way it's pressure is pleasantly sync'd to the music is very impressive; it's fluidity is astounding. Thank you very much for making this track.
I guessed correctly.

Legitimately WHAT. This is insane. I can't even begin to comprestand.
This is all my fault.

No The Well-Tempered XYZ?
I had absolutely no idea what was going on, but thought it was beautiful anyway. Only youguys boys can do that. The last parts were mind-boggling.
also, 30 days? What the hell...

At first the amount of cannons were distracting, but towards the end you guys used them really well. Sick track, I'd call it glitchquirk.

Why did nobody think to call this "Inhibitionz"?
But seriously, this was like watching a movie like A Clockwork Orange in that Bosh is getting raped and abused and it's uncomfortable for me to watch, but like in an utterly fantastic way.

Re: Inhibitions Z ~ S.A.D. Boys
nobody can do this detailed of a sync besides you guys, because only you guys can move bosh so quickly within a frame
this track is probably the finest display of syncing ever created, and as far as i can see, is flawless

Re: Inhibitions Z ~ S.A.D. Boys
Very nicely done. I remember when I used to be proud of how strong I could make my flings so that I would move Bosh from one side of the screen to the other in like 10 frames or whatever. With kramual stacks being a thing that sounds pretty silly in comparison.

See, this is the shit I like, right here. The way y'all are playing with syncs and direction makes for a reeeeeeeeally interesting watch.
This one's a complex experience, I'll have to rewatch a bunch to find what I missed.

Re: Inhibitions Z ~ S.A.D. Boys
There are certain tracks where me not knowing what's going on takes away from the experience. This is not one of those tracks. Even without knowing how everything was done, or what even went on for the full three minutes of track, I found myself gladly entertained.
One thing I am noticing is that a lot of this stuff is not near as entertaining to watch without the music sync, as I found myself losing focus during the color replay. Not that this is a bad thing in the least, considering just one year ago people would judge tracks in tournaments by putting them on mute and seeing which one was better on its own. We would never be able to do that with any of the more recent tracks, it's crazy to think how it worked that way in the past.

I think collabs are going to be even more important as since these technical things take so much time and effort. This track is awesome, and the fact that you guys did everything in xyz make it even crazier.

Re: Inhibitions Z ~ S.A.D. Boys
I had high expectations for this track and you guys blew them out of the water, that was fantastic. I tend to think of linerider as a way to visualize music and you three have been able to use your technical skills to create a track that, at least to me, looks exactly like the music sounds. The fact that this track is xyz, blue, and changes directions every other second and STILL feels light and fluid is really impressive
At some point during the track I gave up on trying to figure out the technical side of it and instead I just relaxed and enjoyed this spectacle of motion that you guys have created. There are moments in this track where I have absolutely no idea what's going on, yet it still feels very coherent as a whole due to the meticulous syncing. The fast syncs at 2:11 and 2:33 is something I hadn't seen before and really stood out to me.
Excited to see what the SAD boys do next =)

Made an account just to say holy shit. You managed to match the music with the gesture of the guy's flinging in a really satisfying way. The horizontal/vertical hits where he switched instantly after bouncing (the bounces were really cool too) were super cool to watch. You managed to keep it varied, too - I never got bored (as I sometimes do with longer tracks). Nice job!

Wow hobo apple really appreciate it, means a lot buddy. You shoukd stick around you seem to know a thing or two already. Also to any who are interested the sync is off by a very small amount but very noticable if you want to look at the trk and download the music file I will provide it.
Re: Inhibitions Z ~ S.A.D. Boys
It's so good to see all of this feedback! Thank you guys, so much! It would be fantastic if people could come and give more feedback after h having studied it and watched it more! I'm really down to find out what I can improve on next, because I really took care to focus on improving on the concepts I used in Inhibitions! It's important to me to be able to know where to go from here.

Funny thing Lone Vampire has been actively trying to remove SLAGS and he thought they were 100% gone in the version I used. So technically I was exploiting a bug.
Re: Inhibitions Z ~ S.A.D. Boys
How did you make it? I have zero idea how you did.
