Rider Changes

I'm toying with a couple ideas for changing his eyes because bosh looks soulless right now.
Blue eyes:

blue eyes v2:
Pupil only:


Thoughts? Are there any other ideas I'm missing? Here's the SVG for bosh if anyone wants to toy with it. http://www.mediafire.com/download/gapcfx3ss6czgwv/bosh.svg
None of these are the "only options", i'd toy with it more, but I'm wondering if it will be accepted.
It's also worth noting that only at high zoom levels is it really noticeable. Typical track playback won't be affected much if at all depending on the model used.

Nobody realizes it, but a large black eye is creepy as fuck too. is creepy too. Though I see what you mean with my post, but I think that can be gotten around with more work on the art. Personally the "blue eyes v2" looks way less creepy than the first one.

The large black eye isn't creepy, it's simple and fits the character.

Also please change the scarf back, of at least make that an option..

But for the record I am a huge fan of the current design. Love the scarf, love the hat, love everything. (so not allergic to change...?)

I dunno, maybe I would get used to it but my IMMEDIATE reaction is:
"*eyes get wide* WTF that's fucking disturbing NO plz and thank you DO NOT WANT"

I think the problem with the eyes, is not the eyes themselves, but the lack of other facial features making the eyes stand out to much (as well as that you are introducing a new color to the game; not counting color playback).

If you'd add a mouth and nose I think the eyes might look okay. Currently it looks like Bosh is high on drugs, scared out of his mind, or both.

The one with just pupils looks good though. I wouldn't mind that one. The way I'd introduce it is with the possibility to use the old lay-out as well. You could introduce a spin-off game within the game "dress-up-bosh". Would be pretty neat, haha :p

With the flag I'm okay, since you don't see any of that in the outcome. With the new appearance all I can think is, why alter from the original? Was it bad? Just because you get used to it after a few months is no reason to change things. I can see how goofy mods are fun (duck, dinosaur, whatever) but not uncluding the original one as an option only causes confusion and induces the idea that LRA is a hacked version.

We don't watch Line Rider tracks all the way zoomed in. Keep Bosh geometrically simple. Also, it helps that he blinks.

Both blue eye ideas make him look cross-eyed. Pupil only slightly less so, but I largly agree with the crowd on this.

Thanks for the thought out response. Bosh already has a nose, but I see what you're saying. I'm terrible at art, too. which really isnt helping my attempt at convincing people, haha.

See, it was my immediate reaction too, but i played with it for a few minutes and it really is kind of cool to me. But I totally understand everyone's knee-jerk reaction, and I really want to smooth out the "new" version I'm thinking of introducing so less people are freaking out.

I think it looks really normal here.

even after seeing it zoomed out, don't like it. I looks like Bosh is looking straight ahead at all times, which is weird because I would expect him to be looking all over the place and freaking out lol
